@paulorosas18 Which would be Shogun Total War. A rather ancient, but epic game nonetheless. Rome is definitely a highlight, and after the sad dept that was Empire Total War, I'm pleased to note that Shogun 2 Total War is going in the right direction again.

I was in a siege battle like this and there was this seleucids team online and the seuleucid army never broke through my greek soldiers. i destroyed the kid playing seleucids but then i saw that my other enemy, The Julii family was still powerful and had broke in the other wall and destroyed my ally...

Spartans are really funny! Once I had only 2 left from the regiment and they killed an armored elephant! But another elephant killed them, but they never tried to run!

1 player/ai = 1 controlable faction

There can be several players/ai of the playing as the same factions, as long as they are allied.

1. There can be xxx amount of the SAME faction ALLIED - so even 5 julli together.

2. Julii cant fight julii - they HAVE TO BE ALLIED

3. they can fight whatever faction they choose, as long as the SAME FACTIONS ARE ALLIED - it could be 2 julli vs 2 brutii etc :) but its in the new version of the game and patches, not the old one without patches

Having never played this game. Is it possible when doing a 2v2 fight, can your opponent use the same armies? like two Julii Roman armies against...whatever factions your team chooses?

@GodOfWar221 yes you can - in the newer patches - you fight with more players as the same faction commanding - however you can NOT fight julii vs julii etc - they have to be in a team.

@Ahuli28 PoM uses Legionary First Cohorts. Those have 120 men in each unit. His enemies had urban cohort and Spartans which have 80 men in each unit.

@456ironmaiden because, in the game, if elephants are fired at by fire ( arrows, stones, even pigs on fire ) they get scared and lose all trace of discipline. so they go berserk, and destroy anything in the path.

@456ironmaiden depends, did the A.I. send cavalry or other troops at your rear, did the A.I. use brute force and outnumbered you, or did the A.I. have a lot of upgrades. if its not any of that, then something is wrong with spartans losing to A.I. on easy A.I. mode.

@hankock1015 I dont remember but I could try again. probably either option one or two. i think they outnumbered me I know that the easy A.I. is easy like I was rome and the enemy was Egypt or Spain and I win always, I know that ive won with the Greek City States before with the easy A.I. I could try it again.

@Modernwarfaregeek99 Depends on what you like. If you like pre gunpowder combat go with rome or Shogun 2 (the newest total war) if you like gunpowder combat go with napolean total war. Do not by any means get empire napolean is just a much better game and they both cover the same content.
