Aerosmith benifited from a very hot RUN DMC movement. These boys are on some ole prototype/blueprint ish. Give them their due. They were among the most gerne bending and inovative groups in music groups in the last 25 years. Young bucks should relax and take notes. RIP JMJ!

@markelrob The Beastie Boys are eligible either next year,or the year after.LL survived through many eras in Hip Hop,and still pumped out hits.N.W.A is too revolutionary to not get in IMO.Public Enemy, I guarantee will get in.Their the conscious of Hip Hop,and one of the most important artist of the last 25 years.Who else do you think might get in?

@markelrob Rock n Roll has many different genres,including Hip Hop.If you look at all the Rock n Roll hall of Fame inductee's,you'll see that it means more than just white guys in a band with guitars.Aretha Franklin is a perfect example.

I love Run, but DMC and Jay was the coolest in the group. D & J was so down to earth. Back in the 80's you could always walk up to DMC and shack his hand. Run was kinda arrogant and conceited. But Run-DMC is the greatest rap group ever

dmc has spasmodic dysphonia, a vocal disorder which causes involuntary spasms of the larynx muscles...that's why he talks like that

while they were on tour sometime in the late 80s he noticed his voice going out or whatever and was later diagnosed with Spasmodic dysphonia, it causes something in your voice to spaz and crack like that.
