Living on hundreds of acres I do know what a tree that has been felled by a logger looks like. The tree is felled higher and a tree of this diminutive size would never be harvested. If you look at the markings and shape of the cut it is obvious this tree was felled by a beaver.

Ok. I am a pretty deep ecologist and all. I want the forest and wildlife to be preserved, but those people that are crying over the loss of one tree in how big of a patch of woods? (if it wasn't an acted out scene) need to look on the much brighter side of having the on tree be cut down.

Living on hundreds of acres I do know what a tree that has been felled by a logger looks like. The tree is felled higher and a tree of this diminutive size would never be harvested. If you look at the markings and shape of the cut it is obvious this tree was felled by a beaver.

Now if someone asks me to hug a tree I would decline because for one thing, I don't know about the poisonous insects that might be living there and could inflict a nasty bite because I probably disturbed their nest. I don't believe that trees have feelings like us so I won't waste time. One can cry over a tree and I won't care unless it affects our industry. I don't cry over cut hemp either.

My friend's father lost his brother with a shot gun and I know friends' brother in US who is disabled waist down shot by a revolver.
If you wanna shoot gun, go to a gun gallery which you will find plenty in US but don't own one if you can help it.
Chances that it will protect you is a lot "slimmer" than it will shoot you or your own family and friends.

Consider this. I've decided my beliefs now because when I get to that junction, my hesitation(besides target ID) could easily cost the lives of an entire platoon, section, or crew their lives, even civilians in the case of Afghanistan. In battle you worry who's who, what's behind, infront or around them. There is plenty of time before or after action to think, there is precious little time during battle.

Just a little question for you out of curiosity;
- Do you think Iraq has got anything to do terrorism in America?
Personally, I support US and believe they have good intentions but sometimes makes horribly bad /naive mistakes and often the US is the biggest victim of it.

Nobody is born a soldier. Nobody is born evil either. We just become.
As for Iraq, I am uncertain. But they have to do what must be done because what is cannot be undone. They may have been better off with Saddam for the time being, but who can say for certain. Because things have happened and things must be done and there are Commonwealth troops in Iraq I support it.
The negative of Iraq(besides creating more terrorists) which has the most effect on me is that Russia threatens Ukraine.
