no refuling takes almost ALL team strategy out of F1, as the cars are so advanced, it is almost just a race to see who has the best car, not who is the best driver/team , didn't they think of that one??
I have to say that no refuelling is complete bollocks.
The FIA have no idea what they are doing.
If it really did have the slightest clue, they'd be burning tyres out doing short stints going as fast as possible as they used to.
They are supposed to be aggressive and try crazy moves and have side-by-side battles like before.
This year it was just a complete train because overtaking is IMPOSSIBLE when you get behind someone and just understeer off even more with a full tank..
@tjbayliss yea i think we have to wait till the end of the season to say that the forbidden refueling is good or bad....BUT: fact is that the cars could go much faster, but everybody looks after his tyres and when there are dry conditions you see only a few overtakes cuz noone really attacks....and i think thats really a shame

I think that I had to do a new .aiw file. I think to do with "rFactor AIWCAM Editor". But how can I do to take of the fences that close ce track extensions to do the new lay out.

It's actually "editing" things that is the hard thing, and requires 3D Studio Max or something else like that.
If all you want to do is just remove walls, like the ones that block the new layout, run it in 3DSimEd, find the wall, right click - and you'll see the filename of the GMT file.
Then just goto the SCN file, and remove the instance for that wall.
Then when you load it, the wall has vanished, and you can drive down the road.
he has no rights to it as his is an illegal mod. he has no copywrite from ISI or bahrain circuit to create this track and distribute it to the public. not much he can do as he doesnt even know who u r!
maybe, if u chose to, u could send it to them as a 3rd party and ask it to be released throgh them with you getting the credit. that way everyone wins dont they?

After realising that, I started again, using CTDP's rFactor version, took the Outer track, copied the AIW from the F1C version - removed 2 walls - and it was done.
If that means anything to anybody, try it.
It was so easy it only took me 10 minutes.
No i'm sorry I can't send the track.
But if it was that easy to convert, i'm sure CTDP will do the same WITHIN DAYS.

We hope to have some onboard from the new circuit from my V8 drivers, check out my youtube channel for loads of real-life onboard from Bahrain/Yas Marina and loads of other tracks, good resource for track makers.

great video, just what i needed. in my opinion, new track layout is rubbish-slow and twisty and uncharacteristic, much like the rest of the circuit. Only posotive is there may be some new overtaking oppertunities. thnx a lot

The only other version I saw had really bright rumblestrips and looked quite plasticy.
Looked like it had been made in 2 days, rushed, and lots of random bumps and dips in the track left in!

Changed my mind slightly since then.
It's a shame not to see refuelling and the cars going AS FAST AS THEY CAN
But the Australian GP and Chinese GP were great. So maybe no refuelling can show to be just as good.

I watched Practice 1 and 2 today, and the track seems pretty much right.
But I think it's Turn 7, the one after the new chicane - that is a lot faster.
Today all of the cars were bottoming out going through it.
It's got a bigger dip and is a faster right hander.
In this version it's quite slow and has a big bump.
The bump belongs there, but the surface needs changing a bit before it's accurate.
I mean the turn at 0:37
On TV today they showed every single car bottoming out through it lol

I was wrong, its not Turn 7, it's Turn 5.
The fast corner at 0:31
In real life it has a big dip with huge bumps!
In this version it's pretty flat... needs fixing :)

As for the AIW file, I started by just copying the AIW from Birkuc's F1C version.
However if you do that the safety car is broken, and the A.I cars drive all over the rumblestrips at some corners.
I've just been playing around in the AIWEditor for the first time. Pretty cool.

Like I said it's CTDP's track anyway.
And all i've done is make a new layout for that now.
I started again using CTDP 2.0 and it took me 10 mins to create a new layout directory.
So maybe I can release it, but I should still ask CTDP.

I just watched a Bahrain onboard.
It looks like the old layout parts of this version seem quite accurate to real life.

I only converted the F1 track, I can see though that Birkuc made the 2006 F1 layout and the V8 layout.

Well I kind of agree that it's uncharacteristic for Bahrain, very slow corners - which will change the setup a lot.
But I don't think It's rubbish.
The new corners are actually quite enjoyable after you get used to them.
But laps do seem very long now.
