No doubt about it, the best on-screen ass-chewing scene ever. Braddock may be a hard-ass, but he's always straight with Murphy. Personally, I'll take a hard-ass who's straight with me over someone who'll kiss my ass one day then stab me in the back the next, because with a straight hard-ass I at least know where I stand.
This is a great movie that is a warning for a future America. A conspiracy by an evil group to turn US into a police state by using the Military Industrial Complex to wage war against free American citizens. I think every Alex Jones fan should watch this film. Frank Murphy is your more switched on American, a police officer with a conscience, an Alex Jones like character exposing the evil plan of this group.
"I had twenty years in this outfit when your idea of a big time was sittin' in front of the TV tube, watchin' Bugs Bunny, and gnawin' on your Fudgesicle."
My favourite movie as a child! Great scene, I have all the dialogue in my head since then. Look at Lymangood at the end, throwing a defiant look and slamming the door violently!
If you're walking between eggs, don't hop. That's it.
One of my favorite movies of all time! Must've seen this movie over 20X times since the mid 1980s. I was first introduced to the tv series when i came to America in 1983 then saw the movie on public tv. I liked the short lived tv series too. Watched every episode.

Warren Oates is the best.
He was great as Sgt. Hulka in Stripes, and the only one who had the smarts in that movie
Lymangood became to be JAFO (Just another fucking observer) in the series Blue Thunder
I wish the series would be brought back, and a remake of the movie.
Most of the shit that comes out today by the networks, ain't worth watching.
