we all know del is absolutely capable of "going over the line" when it comes to song-writing continuity for the sake of his marvelous wordplay... that's why i personally don't need to hear it every time he raps. he's trying to tell a story here and doesn't have the usual monstrous word banks of "hip-hop braggadocio" and/or "sci-fi and fantasy worlds" to work with. i like this shit, it's real.

i agree, but i think it's an interesting style mash - del doesn't need to wow me lyrically in every song anymore... he's trying something different and i think it works on a few levels. this vocalist adrian hartley is an acquired taste though... that album del dropped on def jux was kinda butt though.
