  • I have just finished reading "The inner world of farm animals" by Amy Hatkoff. Cool book. Admirable work you are doing.

  • This is hobby farming. Everyone enjoys what you've portrayed in this video but it isn't realistic or self sufficient. While you're collecting donations playing farmer, actual farmers are out there supplying food to feed the masses. Farmers don't have volunteers or a website with a donation tab. Sorry but it's true.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Farm Sanctuary is not a "hobby farm". They save animals from farms that raise animals for food. They are animal advocates who are vegan and don't believe in killing animals for food. Hence the name farm SANCTUARY. Maybe if you learned more about the organization and the videos, you wouldn't have made the comment you made. As for animal farming... raising animals for food is highly inefficient and causes major damage to the environment.

The idea is that animals are individuals, and each animal saved is important because it has individual consciousness. The organization spends around half its funds on the actual farm, the other half for administrative/organizational work and campaigning. Its a drop in the ocean (a few hundred saved versus 10 billion killed a year) and perhaps not the best use of money to advance the cause, but to the individual animals its everything. Depends on your view.

  • I can't stop crying when watching all these videos. It makes me so happy seeing this. This is how it truly should be..thank you so much for the great work. If I ever had the chance to come to America, I will definetely visit the farm. I'd love to volunteer at such a great place

  • This is how it should be - animals treated with love and care and not seen as a commodity but as lives - thank you very much.

  • This... this is how it should be. :)

  • Wait what? You just CALL the sheep to you and they all follow, in an ordered fashion, to another pasture? Did you just disprove thousands of years of herding techniques, with whips and lassos and sheepdogs??

    *shock*

  • Awh, this is so wonderful!!! What a beautiful and happy place! I love Farm Sanctuary and thank you for all the brilliant work you do on behalf of farmed animals. Your organization is the reason I went vegan! :D You guys rock!

  • Very Nice! Do you feed grain? If you do, you shouldn't keep sheep and goats together because sheep can't have goat food!

  • I have watched this video a few times already since finding it. it truly makes my heart smile! :) Thank you Susie for all you do! My dream is to work at a place like this one day! Much love to you all at Farm Sanctuary! :)

  • Thank you Susan ♥

  • @joyfulvegan83 Because their as clever as cats or dogs.

  • This was absolutely wonderful to watch. I'm proud to be a Farm Sanctuary member and supporter. Thanks to all who help these wonderful animals on a daily basis. As I watch these wonderful animals following the Farm Sanctuary employee, I can't help but wonder about all the animals who trust in people but are treated so horribly. What humans can do to animals makes me cry.

  • I'm IN LOVE with all these bautifuuul Animals !!! You all are so precious! so precious your action and work ! thank You very very much for all this joy and love you spread all around Planet Gaia! <3

  • Best thing I've ever seen! Thank you! I would Love to be apart of this. Please let me know what I can go to help.

  • Everyone deserves the right to live this wonderful life! Our fellow humans and animals alike. I have to constantly remind myself that veganism is pro-human also. Poor people can be fed without the slaughter of animals, and the spread of grains, fruits, vegetables and other wholesome food! Freedom and love for all! :)

  • This is just pure awesomeness! I love that they follow you when you call them! It makes me happy that they can do their thing in peace.

  • This was a great idea to post episodes like this..it's really great for Farm Sanctuary supporters to see the animals and farm life more. :) I can't wait for the next one!

  • Thank you for all that you do! My dream is to visit Farm Sanctuary sometime soon! I would love to volunteer at a sanctuary so I could help out and be around these sweet animals all day. This video brought tears to my eyes..especially with the sheep nuzzling her at the end..so precious. It's wonderful seeing them get a chance to live the life they deserve. <3

  • @monitchka ♥

  • @monitchka They have built a Shangri-lá for non-humans and the humans who work there are blessed ,this is so beautiful and sweet...

  • I'll never get tired of seeing these wonderful animals actually being allowed to live a real life. Thank you to all the staff for all their hard work. You guys do such a great job and you obviously love doing it (I know I would if I worked there)
