"Crazyman Dance" was supposed to be on LWP Vol. 2, but that album was scrapped after he going into his legal fight with Sony. Strange and haunting, but NOT A PATCH on the original. Merely "interesting" as opposed to really good. It's not terrible, it's just okay. It sounds like a minor promo release, and it sounds like Coldplay featuring Daft Punk. An album of original songs like this would be better. Yes, I'm sure the vocal effect was a deliberate effort to sound very different. It doesn't really sound like what BEP or whoever is doing. It's unique.

I really like George Michael, but this IMO is atrocious: I like him even more for doing a tribute to New Order, IMHO one of the best bands, but this is a bit too pretentious for my taste. He honors the lyrics by creating such an original song with someone else words. It feels authentic to GM. The sound of the vocals fit the meaning, conveys a dream like state of mind. To me I always have to play George's songs over and over, to really "see" them just as I would any other creation. Songs are supposed to be like a painting, a slow new discovery for a lasting impression.
