I can't believe Mike Rotuno is not in WWE Hall of Fame. He works there his son is a wrestler and as himself and IRS he made two great gimmicks work. Not to mention as the Varisty Club Member he got over well. He still popular by fans when he does IRS gimmick. I hope 2011 Hall of Fame member includes Rotundo, his partner Dibiase is in now.
The commentary was edited for one of those colisseum video tapes. I hated when they did that. This commentary is horrible BTW The original was always better
Because the Natural Disasters won the tag team titles in the summer of 1992 and in this video Jim Ross was on commentary. But the problem is that Jim Ross was not even with the company until 1993 so it doesn't even make sense to edit the commentary. You can tell that the commentators on the edited version of these matches are bored out of their mind as you can see with Ross here. Hence, making the match less enjoyable to watch.
@JKTube yes kane and big show were close kane and bigshow were 832 pounds. kane 326pounds bigshow 506 in 2006. typhoon and john tena earthquake combined weight of 852 pounds earthquake 468pounds typhoon 384 pounds the largest tag team in wwf/ wwe history
JR and Gorilla Monsoon (RIP) called the majority of the matches on the old Coliseum Video tape Undertaker...His Gravest Matches, many of which took place in 92. The only ones he didn't call were the UT-Kamala matches from SummerSlam and Survivor Series 92, which were called by Vince and the Brain.

LOL, the IRS gimmick is funnier and more awesome now that I'm older. When I was watching it as an 8 year old, I didn't get it as much.

Either Ted or IRS probably needed surgery IRL. Looks like they were in a hurry to drop those belts.

The Taxman IRS was a great gimmick and Mike Rotunda (IRS) was an under-rated wrestler.
Typhoon and Earthquake made an awesome team though!

As you see in 4:26, for a big man, Earthquake could do some pretty solid bumps.

I'd love to see a tag team on wwe nowadays with a total combined weight of 800 odd pounds!!!
TheMessiah79 2 years ago
Well, Kane and Big Show came close to that, but I'm guessing you mean two big fat guys rather than two 7' tall giants.

Is that Jim Ross calling this? I didn't think he came to WWF/WWE until Wrestlemania IX.
crveech 2 years ago
Yeah, according to Wikipedia he didn't... he must've done a little freelancing for them beforehand... very strange.

JKTube 2 years ago
Ah, so you're saying the commentary on this particular version was done later on? Which would also explain the Shockmaster reference?
linesinaconversation 2 years ago
No, why would they air the match and add commentary a year later?
JKTube 2 years ago
No, I thought you were saying Ross re-dubbed commentary on the videos, like Mick Foley did on some of the matches on his DVDs for example.
linesinaconversation 2 years ago
This wasn't from a DVD, it was from regular TV.
JKTube 2 years ago
dont know what happened here, but i have seen wwf put new commentaries on old matches for colliseum home videos.
