  • Great vids, i learned a lot from you fellow photographer. Just wish i could afford the two Quadra mobile packs.

  • best

  • Found this by chance. Really interesting to watch. You seem to have a good understanding of `light. I'm more of an Armchair photographer, but this has encourage me to get off my Arse and take some pictures.. Simple locations, nice lighting.. Just have to buy a few Gels, and them I'm off. thanks for posting this Video.

  • @gunwharf Great to read that! Thank you for your kind words :-)

  • great and informative video ! what did you use in the first part ( forest ) for the wireless connection between the flashes ? thanks

  • @gregparadi I triggered the Quadra as the main flash with the built in Elinchrom Skyport and the transmitter on the camera hot shoe. The SB-900 was triggered by using the built-in photocell (SU-4 mode, in manual mode)!

  • Great video. I was hoping to get some info on the monopod you used for the Umbrella. I think it's more convenient to use that instead of a boom stand.

  • @PhotographersOnUTube Hi, it's the extension handle from Lastolite, originally used for the EzyBox. They send it out in three sizes, I used the #2413 in this video (65 to 150cm) - please take a look at the Lastolite website and try a search for "extension" (can't post links here, sorry)

  • Wow I have found THE spot to come and learn. No obnoxious talking, tasteful music and models and a very simple way of showing what you do. Love what you are doing and the results.

  • I like your videos

    thanks for sharing

  • Great video, thank you. You use 85/1,8 Just wondering why didn't you go for 85/1,4?

  • @Nonsmokingeternity ...because it costs four times the 1.8? ;-) The 1.8 does a great job for me, even at f/2 so why throw away my money?

  • @simonsenphoto Thank you very much for the answer that went to the root of my dilema. I'll keep my 85/1,8. :-) I like your works and videos a lot!

  • @Nonsmokingeternity I think you can't go wrong with it. For me it's a really good lens and the slighty chromatic aberrations below of 2.2. can be removed with aperture (remove halo) or lightroom... ;-) Thanks, glad you like the videos!

  • @Nonsmokingeternity He cant afford .. its expensive

  • wow, that music was awful. Rest of the video was fine, for what it was :)

  • Nicely done. I like these behind the scenes setup vids.

  • To hold the scrim did you use a c-stand with an extension arm that held the crossbar of the skylite?

  • @redtippmann I wrote it down at 2:04 - with the manufacturer number... ;-)

  • @simonsenphoto Thanks! Didn't notice it the first time.

  • @simonsenphoto Sorry, but I just had one more question. Hopefully it wasn't in the video but did you use a 6" pin to attach the skylite grip head to the extension arm grip head. I cant figure out how people are connecting the two.

  • @redtippmann No, I just used the other end of the extension arm (that one without the grip head) and connected it with the grip head of the skylite ;-)

  • Great video...!!!! Cheers Simonsen .

how do you find a client & how do you get into the portrait photography field?

I think, this seems she wants to have her own photo isn't she? I mean not a commercial photo. thanks :D Great job.

  • Great! So how did you do the close up with the lens? I know you can get close from afar, but wasn't hard to shoot close up?

  • @lllholder Sorry, didn't understand your question. Can you specify a part of the video?

  • great

  • nice.
