  • You can barely understand that mushmouth kid.

  • Kids today don't know real fun. Computers and batteries with everything today. No waiting, just get spoilt.

  • That's the kid who played Harold in the show Hazel.

  • Approved by Jerry Sandusky

  • does it seem like kids had more fun with there toys in the 60's?

  • @MultiFunproductions good question ! first we would say their , instead of there, showing ownership to one's toy plural. mr. english teacher over here, lol, i'm not, K back to the question, umm, as a child growing up in the late sixties and early 70's the thrill or magic of it seems the same. cognitively speaking, from what my brain perceives, as a matter of fact we as a race of ancient alien species are catching up to the past an old ideas of science and truth, and spirit. that is quite fun

  • @frankenboston sorry about the grammar, yeah i wonder how simple we look to other alien races that may be watching us, as advanced as we think we are we might be like cavemen compared to other species.

  • @MultiFunproductions it's ok, i missspeel all the time ha yes their are advanced people helping us and watching us closely and government, that are hurting millions of people everyday,n deny the fact, because of their addiction to greed and ego and FEAR, they just might make themselves known too the world as we know it, to help us, maybe not, maybe they can't interfere with the balance of our nature but give us clues . i believe they are and they did, and gov. keeps blocking it from us all

  • interesting , something made everything, galactic deep space is teaming with advanced alien life forms, i know spirits are real , other dimensions exist not just 3, so, does this prove a God created everything, ? no, but i believe so, the paradox of space and time will be proven , but faith just that word alone has no simple math equation to it, but your right, if we put a frog in a blender will we have a frog? something orchestrated something "life" from nothing.

  • I used to fucking have these. They were awesome as hell.

Then they made a movie and they became mainstream.

  • @MakoRuu I used to have a big shit hangin outta my Asshole!

  • @5tonyvvvv lol

  • Wow, they've been making these a while... I had one as a kid in the nineties, they were the dudes from small soldiers. :-)

  • So this was a 360 in the 1980's

  • i had one when i was a kid..

  • WOW I THOUGHT THIS WAS A 90'S TOY :o

  • funny thing I had the the ninja turtles version of this

  • These things were made by (Karl) Marx? I'll wager he always rooted for the red guy.

  • I WANT THEM SO BAD

  • I believe one of the kids in the commercial starred in the 1960's tv series, "Hazel".

  • @kirkindog Yeah, Bobby Buntrock.

  • who the eff is simmons

  • I saw reel steal today, and this is just like it

  • This game rules, but you'd never get anything like that now. Toys whose sole purpose is to fight and get their heads knocked off? Not these days.

  • ya think this inspired "real steel?" looks like it.

  • @tubesoxabc yup

  • Now all we need is Yard Darts the movie staring Paris Hilton and Pauly Shore.

  • 1. ROBOT BOXING ? REAL STEEL : ROBOT BOXING

    2. IT WOULD BE COOL IF THEY MADE A NEWER VERSION AND THE ROBOTS ACTUALLY SWING REAL PUNCHES AND KICKS AND ACTUALLY PUNCHES OF THE HEAD LIKE OFF THE BODY AND ON THE FLOOR. OR IT BREAKS BODY PIECES.

  • Comment removed

  • REAL STEEL

  • thumbs up if you are also searching for the real steel movie or something related

  • And now in 2011, they made it into a blockbuster movie called " Real Steel "

  • This is now a movie..... look up real steel.

  • o.o man that actually looks like fun XD

  • rrrrrrrrrr Yo Frankenboston! rrr

  • @Frankenfukstein yes we are brethren of frankendinkies

  • @frankenboston Yeah classic game, How do you know aliens are real? but ask yourself this who created aliens? how did the first alien cell form in a chemical broth? Homochirality and hydrolysis would prevent life from ever starting! It is chemically and mathematically impossible for a single protein to form by chance.

  • 20 people here rather play with themselves!!!

  • They made a movie out of this. It's called Real Steel. HAHAHAHA!

  • I had no idea ROCK-EM SOCK-EM ROBOTS was this old. 0_0

I always thought they first came out in the 80s.

and now I know. AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE! :D

  • SIMMONS!!!! Damn scab writer...

  • Complex litigations...John speaking

  • Simmons!!!!! Im nodding happily for being born in the 80s

  • SIMMONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Simmons! Yes, I'm nodding sadly

  • yeah simmons

  • SIMMONS!!!

  • Simmons brought me here.

  • I don't see Hugh Jackman anywhere in this commercial. Weird.

  • I can't believe ancient toys gave young boys lisps. Sad.

  • simmons

  • SIMMONS?!

  • SIMMONS!

  • SIMMONS!!!

  • SIMMONS!!!

  • SIMMONS!

  • Thanks Bill Simmons^

  • Thumbs up if.... SIMMONS

  • Thumbs up if Simmons sent you here...

  • SIMMONS!!

  • Those robots were scary-looking back then. Now the robots are tiny and not a real threat.

  • My cousin had one of these things and we figured the best way to "win" was to take both fists and slam down on both plungers as fast as you could. It got to where one of the robots heads would pop up without even touching it.

  • got dam than goodness i was born in the 1980s

  • @gansterlicous yes but imagine where ever you go, there you are. meaning, say i was born in 1920 , and, their were no video games yet, or even this goofy toy, naturally right? that meant for all, all enjoyed the same playing field, the same sand box, so, stick ball, or playing jax or telling jokes , or going fishing was pure sheer enjoyment, we wouldnt have understood a cell phone, we would have though it came from outer space or, something weird like that. today technology is exploding

  • Keep pressing 1. " Blow vomit, his block is knocked off!"

  • @visor109 LoLz

  • @visor109 omg little kid is high....almos a roid rage.................what a performance, wonder if he got a movie acting career after these

  • press 3 for suck on robots :D

  • lols

  • @gamemonster7 :) you bet !!!!!!!!! lolz

  • keep pressing 1 XD

  • Yeah, I never got one of these either. By all accounts I should be in therapy due to latent agression! LOL!

  • It sounds like the first kid says "blue vomit's block is knocked off".

When I was a kid I always tried to cheat at games. I stuck some chewed up Bazooka bubble gum under the chin of my robot guy so when he got socked on the chin his head wouldn't spring up, but it didn't work and I got yelled at by my parents for ruining a new toy on Christmas morning after we had just opened it up. It wasn't actually ruined because the gum didn't get into the works, but my robot guy did get a little sticky.

  • Back in the day I used to thing that was advanced technology

  • that was awesome!!!!!

  • man, ever since i heard of these guys, i wanted one...never have got one, but i still want one...

  • @frankenboston What the hell, man? How do YOU know that for sure?

  • I want one of these

  • @Egram So did I or I tried somone else's in the 70's and saw the commercial before and now I got to see the older version. Saturday Night Live had a Jackson's version in the 80's or 90's.

  • That kid on the left, did'nt he play Harold on the T.V. show Hazel ?

  • i just got this game today... i can tell im going to get addicted to it

  • Thats 60's child actor Bobby Buntrock from tv's Hazel in 1964.

  • Look at the right kid's tongue at 0:35. In those days, everybody smoked weed =)

  • ny marx

  • My cousins always beat me at this game.

  • Rock'em Sock'em Robots kicked ass!

We even played with these guys in college, as a drinking game.

And I'm sorry, but I don't think you can get the same thrill off a TV screen, as you can in real-life, when you knock his block off! *L*

  • All the Transformers movies before CGI post-production!

  • That was the worst EVER !! HAHA :)

  • no not blocks... BALLLS

  • My dad had some, I used to play with them.

    I always lost, though >:C

  • White robot gets his ass beat

  • @maddisrespect They were actually blue and red.

  • I want one

  • My parents bought me this for Christmas 1974....hahaha. What wonderful memories!

  • I got these on my 7th Birthday along with my Evil Knievel Motorcycle and Stunt trick house! 40 some odd years ago!

  • GREAT MEMORIES MAN THIS IS AWESOME!!!!

  • Mark Wahlberg, eat your heart out!

  • they make it look so fun!

  • This was like the Xbox of the 50s.

  • Real Steel is the movie for this lol!

  • Happy Days!

  • was this game sold under other names?

  • It's fun until one robot's head becomes jammed and will no longer lose. Well, I suppose that could be fun too.

  • I had one this shit..Omg back then I wanted all the boy toys

    I miss my robots

  • Yeah, that's the kid from Hazel ( I used to love that show)...I thought he looked familiar. The other looks like a young Bill Mumy from Lost In Space.

  • @ladybluluv MR.B MR. B MR. B!!! About all I remember about Hazel. Yeah, that is

the boy from Hazel (I actually remember his name--Bobby Buntrock I think--unusual).

But the other boy is not Billy Mumy from LIS.

  • Everyone seems to think that the "announcer" kid is Bobby Buntrock. But it isn't. It's really little Micky Dolenz before he grew up to become one of the Monkees!

  • rockems rule! (:

  • awww these commericails so much better than todays

  • cool.when does it come out??

  • Little Will Robinson's first robot.

  • Nothing compares to CROSSFIRE!!!

  • Look At Em Go!!!

  • dont laugh, but i never had that toy for xmas :(

  • Now we need a set made from real steel, 8 feet tall, with hydraulic actuators. That would be a great improvement. Except, of course, for all the big brothers tying their little brothers to the chest of the red robot...

  • yeah Yeah YEAH

    Kick'em in the NADS!

  • notice one of them isn't even moving the boxer, just mashing the buttons...... so this is where the concept of button masher video games came from...

  • I had those when I was a kid and I still have them, lol

  • I just bought the current version of this for my 4-yr old boy. We're having alot of fun with it. But the satisfying buzz sound from when you knock the robot's head up is missing. Why would they get rid of that?

  • @Sincopare They made the buzz sound scary me on the 70's version and there was a cartoon that had a sound effect like that. I pulled the head up and maybe saw one of my cousins do it which made me copy that.

  • wow they really needed call of duty back in the day

  • boy this is the greatest!!!! rofl

  • In soviet Russia, Marxist robot Knocks your block off.

  • @ScooterMcBean its, "in Soviet Russia, Marxist robot knocks block off YOU!!!"

  • @kswindl thanks for that correction Yakov.

  • @ScooterMcBean lol man lol.

  • Good times

  • FUCK YESH!!! ROCK TO THE FUCKIN SOCK'M ROBOTSH!!

  • This is how violence starts next thing you know the kids are watching mma.

  • boy this is the greatest! 10 minutes later, mom i want a yoyo

  • This is GREAT! Lemme at a Dragon with these guys!!

  • By MARX!!!

  • at 0:35 the kid on the right is sticking his tonge out! lol

  • If only they had video games like we have today :(

  • Thank you Karl Marx!

  • the best toy ever made, I think

  • has anyone ever noticed how old commercials like this are really long compared to today's commercials?

  • DAMN YOU ROCK EM SOCK EM ROBOTS! CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?!?!

  • "He knocked his block off!"

  • I WANT ONE!!!

  • wasn't this in Toy Story 2?

  • Right now the Japanese probably already created boxing robots

  • "BOY! THIS IS THE GREATEST!" lmao

  • this looks cooler than xbox! NOT!!!!

  • @bluey20000 definitely has a better design

  • It sold me... My parents had to go out and get me a set..

  • Hard to believe Hollywood is making a movie of this toy.....Then again, its Hollywood....

  • haha the kid is getting schooled by his buddy, and still proclaims that it's the greatest. what a sport.

  • It sounds like...."and Blue Vomits block is knocked off" ......Did that kids eyebrows and eye lashes get burned off !

  • @chickentava kinda like us americans huh- they beat on us, and shit on us, and we still proclaim , this is the greatest !!! lol. UFO discloser please, thank you,, free energy proposal please,, thank you. much higher taxes for the rich , and more tax breaks for the poor, please, thanks. K BYE

  • @frankenboston No, just no...

  • @Codeman166 lol, crying........ lol

  • Respond to this video... this game was designed by the aluminati to fight God, in the end times and become queer,, its true, u gotta believe me, cuz, you love me in my pee drip

  • Before videogames were invented.........

  • Society...

  • "Cause Everyone is Rock-'em Sock-'em Robots..."

  • The kid must be watching the fight in a mirror because the shot that knocks the robot's block off is a right, not a left. These stupid kids, can't they get anything right? Why, when I was a kid, we were so poor we had to build our own Rock 'Em Sock 'Em robots out of wood! And when we knocked the robot's block off, we had to go across the street to get it! And we'd usually get attacked by a pack of rabid wolves on the way! These kids today don't know how lucky they are!

  • im 14 and id get one of those!!!!

  • "His block is knocked off!?!"

    SURE! xDDD

  • Comment removed

  • Seeing some robots do just one motion with both hands was a high light of the day??????? They had a suckie day.. "This is the greatest..." lol what a riot

  • I swear I'm 15 I want one now!

  • in the 90s, i got a rock em sockem robot and played with it till it broke.

  • the blue bomber? I think megaman was a rock em sock em robot XD

  • I was from a family of 4 boys and one of us got this for Christmas sometime in the mid 60s. We had loads of fun for a few years. It was pretty much indestructable and I think we passed it on to younger cousins when we finally lost interest. I vaguely remember this commercial.

  • i have this!!!

  • techology has changed so much!!

  • LOL "Boy! this is the greatest!" what you didn't see: The kid murdered his parents for buying it for him...

  • The only game I always wanted as a kid that I never got, I would love to play this game.

  • "boy this is the GREATEST"

Oh god life before video games..how was this ever "the greatest"?

  • "The Blue Bomber's block is knocked off! -His block is knocked off?" Okay, I was serisouly crying because I am laughing so hard at this kid! this is hilarious.. I definitely had one of these.

  • Haha at :40 when the kid says the blue bomber is looking for an opening, his robot figure is the one to actually get hit!

  • I had one, as a young fella

  • lol 0:38 that kids tongue!

  • My dad just bought me one of these.

  • luckyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • his cock is knock off

  • Isn't the blonde kid Bobby Buntrock from the "Hazel" show?

  • @tripjet999 wow,, your right, i didn't even know that, see learn somthin new everyday, and my birthday is one day before his,, weird, lol, aug-3 ,,, bobby b's is the 4th

  • @frankenboston cool

  • Absolutely true - I was just thinking the same thing. Therefore, it dates the advert to the early 60's episodes of Hazel

  • @tripjet999 That is him.

  • @tripjet999 or a milkybar kid
