I just downloaded the Opera Mini 5 Beta on the new boostmobile Incognito. It works way better than what the phone originally came with but we are not able to see you tube video. I am going to try the Opera mini 4 now. thanks Opera.

just tried it on my htc g1, its definitely faster than the stock browser, great job opera but you need to work on the scrolling, its a bit slow especially in very long pages

I just tried the Opera mini 5 Beta version on my 5530 and i used it with a WiFi connection. Personally i thought the Opera mini 4 was alot faster in loading pages than the Opera mini 5.

That's why i went back to the opera mini 4 instead, i didnt really like it that much, but others might think it's great.

My LG Lotus, which has a very slow processor, works fantastic with Opera Mini 4.2. The default browser locks up on many of the pages I try to visit, or takes a good 4 minutes to load them.

But with Opera Mini 4.2, it takes only seconds, I love it!

I hope Opera Mini 5 is the same way. I like the ability to have multiple tabs and the new UI. I just hope that the new features won't slow it down a whole lot. My slower device might not be able to handle it.

its the best mobile browser. 2 minor improvements id like to see is being able to open a link in a page to a new tab and to use t9 when typing.

does anyone know how to manage the speedial to edit them? im using an n95 if it makes any difference.

you can open a link to a new tab, just pres 1 on the link and select it at menu

editing speeddial is also through 1

when typing open the menu and select native text editor(os something like that, i dot have english vesion)...there the t9 should work

I've been using mini 4.x on Moto k1m and I love it! I tried installing mini 5 beta on k1m via the phone browser but it encounters an unexpected error:

Just as a note, the k1m works best with the Verisign certificate so it doesn't keep nagging to use the network.

very solid on the blackberry 8900. only thing is, in some places, the last letter of certain words gets cut off. e.g., on web pages, the word "of" renders as "o", and facebook some of my friends' names have the last letter cut off (e.g. Mike Smith looks like Mike Smit). don't know why that happens, but i'm otherwise liking the beta very much so far.

Excellent work! The current lack of Opera Link support will keep me on 4 for the moment, but I can't wait for the new features that have been previewed in this beta. It's amazing to see the features Opera can pack into a couple of hundred K when my phone's native browser can only manage a heavily distorted version of the web or an "out of memory" error.
