  • this is whats it like riding a normal street here in winter, cept those rocks would be frosen ice.

  • Great demo vid, Thanks. I am definitely considering a 29er.

  • The video was shot in Truckee. Although I mostly ride in the US and South Africa

  • I would have used the pavement ! Geesh

  • ahhhh show off!!! Just cause everyone else avoids that! I even closed my eyes watching this.

  • I have both 26er and 29er bikes. It would be unfair to compare these two tit for tat because the 29er Marin is a steel framed rigid bike with singlespeed drivetrain while as 26" Spec Stumpy hardtail is a more racier bike (i wouldnt say 'race bike' because its heavy as a pig). I ride a medium size frame and I can definately say that 29er maybe too big for smaller sized rider like me. it handles like a u-haul truck. However it does have a ton of grip and can be very fun on the trail.

  • If that section of the race course was really that rough, I'd shoulder my 26er and run past that dumbass. Are 29ers only for stupid people?

  • @RBK855 Why dont you bring your 26" bike, you pick the course, and I can kick your ass?

  • @REALCaveman LOL! I'd pull a Levi Leipheimer on your dumb-clown-wheeled-bike-ass!

  • @REALCaveman Where do you ride?

  • mammoth?

  • @HunterCO1 What's your problem? Don't like cyclists?

  • Fucking sprocket heads hope that asshole gets hit by a car!

  • this is why specialized bikes are the best!

  • is it possible to put 29er tires on a bike that has 26 like the stumpjuper would that save me money from buying a 29er bike that i want like the gary fisher mamba thats 900 where as the specialized disc that is a 26er is 750 would it cost 150 to ut 29er tires on it

  • No, unfortunately you cant fit 29er wheels on a 26" bike. Otherwise everyone would have done it...

  • You could always get a 29" capable fork and put a 29 at the front and a 26 at the back, these are generally called 69er's and are quiet popular.

  • really sven, he was test riding a mtn bike not a road bike so he rode it on the rocks, and maybe once your off crack you can get a bike like that too

  • Sven is special leave him alone! don't you understand he has dumbass-titis?

  • shoulda rode it on the road just next to all those rocks, looked a lot smoother, woulda got to the end faster and more efficiently, plus he wouldnta needed a fancy bike to do that and thus spent the money he saved on crack.

  • lucky all i can afford is a gt peac eno supension i would have to do a wheelieall the way

  • wow, thats very impressive, i definitely wanna try a 29er

    mortulu, go kill yourself

  • i have a 29er, and i have to tell you that it's pretty amazing:) but it's only a rockhopper.. didn't have enough cash for a stumpy ..:P

  • i'm like....so..?

  • and i was all ....

  • im not buying it ;)

  • never do something that gary fisher does... this guy produced some of the most ridiculous bikes for years! so why ride on a bike with wheels as big as a draisine´s in 1900?

  • why the hate for 29ers? have you ever ridden one hard on the trails?

I see that you're in Germany; Europe has no market for 29ers...so I hear.
