  • @blancoitaliano Word up fam!!!

  • Intelligent!

  • CLASSIC

  • I do have/like the Pete Rock Soul Brother and Artifact versions as well. But this version sounds better because it is the closet sound to the original by 9th creation Bubble Gum. Biz Markie 1,2 hook is dope. Howie Tee did a nice job.

  • If you can't hear Biggie's flow in this, you just can't hear.

  • That last verse is hard as fuck!

Chubb Rock brought it on this track.

I had this on tape back in the day.

  • the artifact from the rong side of tha track!!!!!

  • MY DANCING CAREER WAS OVER WHEN THIS SONG CAME I MET HOTDOG LOST MY GIRL THIS SONG BRINGS HAPPY TIMES AND SAD TIMES ALL @ THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!

  • MY DANCING CAREER WAS OVER WHEN THIS SONG CAME I MET HOTDOG LOST MY GIRL THIS SONG BRINGS HAPPY TIMES AND SAD TIMES ALL @ THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Chubb is a lyricist par excellence. This is when you had to be dope to get on.

Intelligence, skill, and maturity. It is a shame how young people this same age have fallen in terms of development. We have grown men acting like coons, clowns, and sambos. Shame

  • Love this sample, Artifacts Wrong Side of The Track.

  • sample also used in wrong side of the track by artifacts wicked hip hop track

  • Great beat, really smoothly delivered :)

  • classic

  • im loving this

  • the chubbsta, wooord up!

  • Comment removed

  • this wuz the shit!!!

  • This song's sick! Think this guy was a definite influence on rappers like Big Pun and notorious B.I.G.

  • @MegaBeamish Nah, just beacause they all share overweightness in common doesn't mean Pun and Big were influenced by him. Kool G Rap was Pun's influence.

  • @MegaBeamish chubb rock was influence on a lot of peeps. remember he came out in early 87 with dj innovator.

  • @germxv All I meant was that I think when it comes to their rap styles they seem to take after him. A person could be influenced by a certain rapper and not sound anything like them. I think someone told me 50 cent was 'influenced' by Rakim but those two artists sound nothing alike.

  • My all time fave Chubbster joint, I love the drums, the 9th Creation sample, the DOC sample, the Biz Markie sample, it's just all so dope.

  • @coldrockdaspot don't forget the public enemy rebel without a puase sample as well, word life

  • word !!!!!!!

any truth to chubb being a doctor now ?

  • Appreciate you! Do you have Bring 'Em Home Safely'? That was one on my favorite Chubb Rock songs of all time

  • artifacts - wrong side of da tracks

  • Chubb is ill with the word play.

A real lyricist. You can tell who had respect for the craft and those who were just money driven.

This song makes me want to slap a wack rapper

  • @destmu 4real bru dis shit make wanna punch yung joc 4 sum reason.

  • BIG UP CHUBB ROCK !!!

  • chubb rock was the fly shit! mad respect

  • super word play luv it!

  • the one hates when u say he's # 2

  • tune is too serious

  • real shit !!!

  • ♥

  • old school´´ = feelin'

    new school = cryin'

  • @cd2291 WORD !!

  • I used to love this whole album this was my fav joint right here. This was the first cd I ever owned my man gave it to me in 1991,Peace Chubb

  • Ifs it not to much trouble could someone upload the Chubbster, but please not the orignal Version.the (Sanford And Sons) streetbeater perferably!!!!

  • yo chubb is the bomb baby, no joke dis da real shit right here.

  • Listen to how that snare rattles!

  • One....and here comes the two to the three.........Hardcore beats,hardcore lyrics,hardcore guitar........The Chubbster,word up!!!

  • brother here had some serious lyrics wish he would continued

  • he did do...and still is doing...

  • The Chubbster was very under-rated...and he kept Hip Hop pure & no watered down bullshit!!

  • one of the most underrated rappers of all time!!

  • This was my joint my senior year of high school. The sample was super ill especially when the Biz Markie mixed in during the break. I used to used that on my mixtape intros when it came out. Plus this was a good track to get high too back then...good times

  • Don't forget the diggity D.O.C! :-p

  • I liked the Artifacts Wrong Side of the Tracks flip of this sample better but this one still gets play.

  • The 90's hip hop was the best!!!!

  • yup

  • @bIancoitaliano was you meen still is

  • i used to pimp hoes to this song too, flavaprince...pump up the bass on this song and the panties melt off......

  • Lyrics Are Nice! I Love This.

  • Chubb was that dude! I looking for the song he had with Luther Vandross' song playing in the background. Think it was "Girl Im In love With You" or something like that. Remember what im talking about?

  • Comment removed

  • nice job with the sampling!!!

  • 9th Creation - Bubble Gum...

  • Back in the day.....I used to pimp off this song......20 yrs old mega hoes............1989 thru 1991....first whip a coupe and got up with WHOUDINI......hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa................

  • disregard that.

  • plotomea

  • well looks like jay-z jacked some of his style.

  • which one is it! is it shaq or chubb rock. oh wait its chubb rock. ya because shaq can't rap for shit. if he could it would the end of the world

  • Fantastic track, Chubb had an efortless, intellectual slick playful skill on the mic. This production was perfect 4 his style, he is truly missed.

  • So this is where the artifacts got the beat for other side of the tracks thought it sound familiar forgot about this song man they dont make hip hop like this no more

  • "Wrong side of the tracks" if I remember correctly. Man that was a good jam. What ever happened to hip hop like that? All underground now I guess.

  • Madlib used this as well as Quasimoto on The Unseen.

  • Funny story, so I have my original tape that I bought back when it came out. Went to one of them old school hip hop ski trips and he was there, I had him autograpgh my cassette you know we laughed hysterically!

  • @Redbone723 Thats wassup!

  • Source actually gave his album 4 Mics when it dropped. Well deserved.

  • One of tha best albums ever made.........

Big ups ta Hitman Howie Tee, one tha best producers ever!

  • This is one of my favorite songs. I listen to it on repeat EVERY day while I am on m way to work and while I'm driving home. It makes me wish I grew up in NYC versus Philadelphia (I know that sounds weird but NY has a certain sound...).

  • isn't that the same sample that t-ray later used for the artifacts' "wrong side of da tracjs"???

  • You are indeed correct

  • a true old school classic...
