Gay marriage was (fully) legalized in 2009, though since 1995 homosexuals could register as living together in "gay partnerships" (similar to marriage). In 2005 there was an increase in the statistics of marriages in Sweden and the divorce rate fell.
I'm a swede and have never heard of this study bill o'reilly kept going on about.. I can also say that gay marriage is legal over here, so that other guy didn't really know what he was talking about either.
Sweden is also a very secularized country and a vast majority of the people I know are either atheist or don't really know what they believe in.

We are around 9 million and since gay marrige was accepted here I haven't actually noticed anything different. I'm happily married to my wife and so are many of my friends. The study is totally unheard of here and so is the social collapse he's reffering to. It ment that they were able to register this and it function like a marriage. But the were not allowed to get married in church.
