Mine is about 3-4 inches now! I got him when he was only around an inch. But they grow SUPER fast! I've only had him for... almost a month! Fun little predators and they are VERY easy to keep alive!!!!
@legoman844 i found mine in lake champlain it was being chased by a bowfin well i caught the bowfin then i found the musky in the water so i put in my tank its a foot long now but at the time it was just 3 inches long
We had a couple small ones like these for awhile,truth is for an aquarium fish they're pretty boring,they sit(lay)dormant for hours on end in fact the only time they move around is when they're feeding.Aside from that they're pretty easy to maintain,they eat well (obvious)and they don't expend alot of energy,not a community fish but 2or3 little ones in a 50 gal tank are good for a couple years by then you would probably be getting tired of them and release them back where you got them
some of you people are so stupid whats wrong with having a baby pike? if he can keep it in the right conditions and you can't release aquarium fish unless its in your own private pond. no public ponds, lakes, rivers, ect.
@kaigreg i have a friend who released his pikes, he keeps catching new ones to have in an aquarium
he released them in Värtan (a lake in Sweden), he put a tag on it (they tag pikes at fishingcomps in Värtan) and they caught it 2 years after in the competition
No, you never release any fish you keep as a pet. It could pose a threat to the ecosystem if not native. Also, it could be carrying harmful parasites that could be a problem in a uninfected area. Its also against the law.
dont try to get one please. 100 liters only??? u will hard time having perch in that litle bowl of urs. go get a 1200 liters aquarium before u try to get a pike
Idiot, Baby pikes not good in huge water.. Baby pike always at shallow low water for feeding, and looking at their other videos, they seem to have HUGE tanks. Im sure they'll be fine.
where did u get them? And what do you feed them when they r that small? and what is the law with keeping wild fish as pets, do you count them as part of your limit or do you need a permit or what?
Be carful they are kannibals you have to separate the smaller ones later on!!!

how big of a pike/bass could i have in a ten gallon?
marmas5 1 year ago
@marmas5 none, except for a really young 3" bass
I'd recommend a 55-70 if you're keeping young pike or medium bass, a 120+ for adult bass and medium pike, and a 350+ for adult pike
jay942942 1 year ago
@marmas5 non!!!!!!! at least a 20 for just a pike. at least a 30 for a bass. im no expert just saying or else your fish will be unhappy

@marmas5 inch per gallon

I catch northern pike at a local creek. I net them, and ocassionally keep them. If you want, I can catch you some.
