Strontium 90 may be bad, but I wonder if it is even a problem if there is regular strontium in your bones or if it is as good as calcium. You'd certainly have denser bones if they were loaded with lots of strontium. I guess it would interfere with the operation of the calcium channels in your neurons at least, so that much would be bad.

@iviaverick52: As with any metal in the alkali group, it is converted into a hydroxide. Sr (Strontium) steals an OH group from H2O and becomes SrOH and H merges with another H to become H2. So, sorry, not a catalyst. It still takes energy to release H2.
