i'd like to get into digital painting but i've only been able to draw. it seems.... simple enough, just draw the basic image then add colors in different tones to add shadows and depth right? i could probably teach myself to do it in a rudementary way with enough time :l

ok, guys, you need to get your eyes on the screen, you can learn a lot from this if you just pay attention, like how she did the horns, that was so awesome, and the lightning on her face, just have your eyes open and you may learn something useful

Sorry but this is a speed painting. A tutorial would be where you show some one step by step what your doing. Tutorial = Education / Speed Painting = Entertainment. Either way, great work!

Thanks for taking the time to make this. It may be odd, but the most useful thing to watch, for a person transitioning from traditional painting, was how you use the more photoshopish tools, like lassos and gradients. It's not something you really think about when you've just got regular painting in your brain! Thanks again!

Could you do a short tutorial showing how to do horns?  I like the quick highlight effect you got when adding color. It looks like you just use a soft brush to add the highlights with maybe an overlay blend, but it went by so fast it's hard to tell. Either way it would make a great tutorial.

First sped up paintings somehow became "speedpaintings" on youtube and now those sped up paintings get named tutorials.

That's a (unfinished) sped up process of a digital painting. A real speedpainting on the other hand is what the name says, a painting done quick.

Btw: tell nobody what music that is, its already on 5% of youtube videos and 20% of paint speedup videos.

@JkangelI just use the soft brush with low brush opacity... practice with brush and dont get to depend on smudge :)
