Wow cant believe this came out 5 years ago and i'm only just discovering it......Patton replacing Mosely was the best thing to ever happen...............
@napalmocean and @ anyone else who replied to my post: A direct quote from Mike Patton himself -
"I don't listen to the radio, but if I did, this is what I'd want it to sound like. This is my version of pop music. In way, this is an exercise for me: taking all these things I've learned over the years and putting them into a pop format."
Is that acceptable to everyone? I am a huge Patton fan, I like all his side projects. Calling it pop music wasn't a derogatory term, it was descriptive.
Mike Patton himself stated that Peeping Tom is his version of Pop, he hoped that I would be played on radios for once. Alhtough he doesn't give a damn anymore what people think of his work. He just composes his music.
Although I must admit that this album is a more "pop" approach to the rest of his works. Nevertheless it's fucking amazing and let's rejoice to this great song!
This is one of the best quality albums ever made. It has so many strands and so many mental pictures and the melodies are bangin. I love this record. Hear something I like more every time I listen.
Mike's mind works in a different way than others, musically speaking. He could lay out a completely experimental track that sounds nothing like anything ever done before and that would be his idea of a NORMAL song, that's why you need your mind to work in a different way in order to honestly appreciate what he's doing.
when he strolled out onto the stage touring this album in Sydney with his backup ladies on each arm it was magic. Crowd went nuts. An elegant superstar.
It was his pop album. Pop music is crap and I believe he just wanted to prove how easy it is to put something out there.. i was drunk when i wrote that so forgive me. I should have said in my opinion.. Awesome album though.. Own it love it because Mike is awesome.. @mrjcoolness
@naccienac Mike Patton said so himself. This is his attempt at pop music. Basically, he doesn't listen to the radio. But if he did, this is what he'd want it to sound like. When I heard him say pretty much that, all I could think of was Dos Equis. "I don't usually listen to the radio... but when I do, I prefer Peeping Tom".
@edhaver that's why you should listen to the radio at night on non-commercial stations if you're gonna listen to the radio. youtube and cd's are the go.
@edhaver Radio stations only play what the general public says to play. Most stations, I should say. They usually base their music rotation through online and phone votes.
@edhaver I've heard them play Mojo on the radio in australia, this is a station which plays more alternative stuff and new and local music from different more creative artists too.
"Love is made like a Starbucks chain and we're taking over this neighborhood!" I love that lyric for some reason - fucking awesome song. Thanks for posting this!

@emilos911 Patton made Peeping Tom as his "pop music I want to hear on the radio" album. So pop by his design, as opposed to any other reason.
