if they ever do make a remake it should be a top down game, no third or first person shit, a prime example of a fun remake that remained pretty faithful to the originals was the ps1 game Strikers 1945

I kinda wish they'd waited with jackal just a year or two so it could have been a super NES title, imagine what they could have done with the Super Nes power to upgrade the graphics and sounds, the music was great for an nes game some of my favorite classic video game music, all in all a great game which sadly never got a sequel or update

One of the greatest games on the NES library. Sadly it didn't gain the popularity like other NES games like Contra or Castlevania. It's unfortunate. I love to see sequels or even remakes.

I have beat the game many times. Your missing some of the captured soldiers and power up soldiers. I would explore the whole area. Also, by firing the missile on certain areas on the map will spawn a star like item to give you an extra life.

Your continues are limited. Can't quite recall how many of them you get. I'll play it again later on and let you know how many you get.

But you are right though. It was the perfect difficulty. I could always get to the last boss battle, but I have never beaten this game my whole life.
