No doubt MS is leading in visually appealin technologz.Dats maybe the reason sum ppl(esp who dislike HCI) dont like 2accept the fact dat der isnt much diffrence b/w Java&Dotnet FW coz MS has leveld it by replicating java's. Secondly,cross platform(OS) thing does exists, but java is leadin in dis domain while MS r yet 2release framework3.x for mono n others

omg. why does microsoft reinvent every technology that has been on the market for years? i mean i wouldn't complain if they were better than the other technologies ... but they're all crap. IE = crap, C# = basically the same as java with a few useless! extensions that runs on win only, Windows = MacOS ripoff with a almost 10 year old codebase now, IIS Server = Apache that crashes 100% more, and horrible to configure, ASP = JSP but you have to use this shitty IIS, MS Silverlight = Flash etc....

Actually, you can't do this with the same simplicity RIGHT NOW. Luckly, JavaFX and Qt (it will get a declarative feature, AFAIK) will improve and we will get the same features that WPF has.
