I'm not sure what you people are crying about . . . it was the common person who ate and laughed and jeered these terrible events along with their own children and the simple odds are that you would have been one of them--unless you honestly think your DNA has significantly changed. At least she is in study and perhaps would not have been one of these attending bottom-feeders.
This is a great educational tool if presented in the right manner. This provides an opportunity to discuss the evolution of society and why executions are no longer a humane means to punish. All is good with the right parental support and direction. This is true with everything we face in life - best to keep an open mind than to shelter a child. The world can be brutal place and it's best to educate than turn a blind eye to reality.
