Though you should check out the Yamaha Motif XS or the KORG M3.

@DX5 JP-8000 the greatest synthesiser of all times. might buy a jp-8080 off ebay for myself. Im a progressive trance producer, but love all your DM covers, they really do show me what is possible for dated synths, who needs the Korg OASYS when you've got good old vintage on your side.

@haakondale No such thing as a "crap" synth mate, only a synth that doesn't work well for a particular genre. Or isn't programmed properly, most people can't get useful sounds out of cheaper/older synths simply because they can't program a synth well enough.

The synths sound great, but you really should get a drum machine or module. The NOvation Drum stations are ok and not very expensive. Also the Emu Procussion isn't bad.

Congratulations! Much more work with the keyboards than Andrew Fletcher has done in his life with DM. Second step you should try is to have your own band and create new music, new sounds, new songs... as 4 young boys did in Basildon (Essex) 30 years ago. Good luck!
