i saw them in san diego in soma i wish they were still here but i always play there music or watch there videos on u tube i wont forget that day i saw them in san diego sorry there all gone now i hope some young people will follow the ramones and keep there music going thanks ramones
Johnny was a big contributer to the band. He stuck with the Ramones up and till they retired. So what if he didn't have the best attitude.? He was an amazing guitarist!
That's my fantasy goal: to travel around the world and go back in time to give all the important people in the world a hug.
I wouldn't hug Johnny. Though I might throw a wet paper towel at his head and run away. Dee Dee would be too damn scary to hug. I would instead stand at a safe distance and watch him.
I would be too afeared of his what must be tremendous right arm muscles to try and hug him! I would follow Tommy around and beg him to teach me the ways of record producing though! I would still be nervous around Dee Dee though.
look lordfancypantsdans shit cj and dee dee both did good dnt judge dee dee cuz hes one of the best and hes a legend ok if he were still alive he wuld of think u ass a idk a idiot who cant keep his own little comments 2 himself .....
cj was good for the band he gave them a younger image and he did better than dee dee on live shows they just quit cos they thought bands like the rolling stones were sad playin in their 60s
just for others i would like to clarify what i said so no one wound get confused. when Dee Dee left the band was heading down, c.j was a great bass player and i have nothing against him
yeah, you have a point there. Johnny said rock and roll artists should retire after they turn their 40's. He probably meant that when u are around 40-50 years old and you have had huge success in your younger years as a rock and roll star, you should retire and enjoy yourself.
There is an excellent documentary on dvd out there called "END OF THE CENTURY, THE STORY OF THE RAMONES" that I recommend to all of you guys. If you type END OF THE CENTURY RAMONES here in Youtube you can get some stuff from that documentary, even the cinema trailer.
Joey suffered from chronic health problems his entire life. The fact that he was able to do what he did for 21 years is a testament his strength. I was glad he cut an album before he died though. It was like a final thank you to all of his fans.
Joey wearing the Motorhead t-shirt.. he was fucking great!!!

Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee and C.Jay are okay! Met C. Jay these days in Berlin. You can hug them all, but not Marky...!

@existenceisrelative Yeah fuck Johnny. He was a douche. He barely wrote too. It was mostly Dee Dee and Joey. And Joey wrote their best songs!

Joey was sick. That's why the Ramone's broke up.
swr112261 3 years ago
not exactly, they broke up because as said by C.J "we really can keep with the new bands" and they have been touring nonstop.

sorry i meant "we really cant keep with the new bands"

Thanks for your great comment! I always hoped to see Joey live again (after 1996) in Germany with his solo-album. This wish died in April 2001...!
