Unemployment numbers were transfered over to sickness beneficiary status (which, incedentally, grew by MORE than the reduction in unemployed). Massive, massive explosion in state sector employment. she won the last election by over spending on electioneering ( a corrupt act according to our electoral law) even those she was warned by the auditor general... not only that but she used tax payer money to do it, which she has to pay back... then once in office she changed the law retrospectively to get her labour government out of the shit with the electoral law

If they won fair and square then tell me this: "Why did they feel the need to retrospectively change the law so that their election over spend wasn't considered an act of corruption as defined by our law... and if its simply about votes then tell me why they are making a new law that severely limits what free New Zealanders can say about them during elections...its eroding our democracy, then theres the dozens of labour mp's fired due to scandles lol..they're a joke

Every Party overspent in the last election. The auditor general was highly inconsistent in his findings. In the previous election similar spending overruns were made by parties across the spectrum and yet nothing was done. The spending was considered legal. Now, suddenly the rules have changed and now what was once considered legal and correct is now illegal. The legislation created clear rules that were not based on the views of one man, and allow a consistent approach to election spending.
