that is true, we basically defeated Japan by ourselves while helping Britain fight Germany. And even before we declared war in 41 we were helping Britain since 1939 with money and supplies due to the lend lease act. If Britain didnt have the financial help of the US in 1939-40 the outcome could have been different during the Battle of Britain

@verification2000 True, but you must have forgotten that the US supplied thousands of weapons, food rations, uniforms and other supplies to the British when they were attacked by Germany. A US base in Hawaii was attacked which is why the US joined the war but the only reason we were really in Germany was to help out the British, not the other way around. The British hardly helped the US in the war they were actually fighting, in the pacific.

Without the Americans In world war two, the war would have been drawn out much longer. With potentialy millions more casualties. Remeber in 1942 America was the supreme power, where as the British Empire began to decay in about 1900.
