  • njdx1 is just a NJ Dick

  • stayed at the holiday inn right next to the cemetery. the hotel's wall is part of the perimeter. Had no idea I was resting right next to such an American Icon until i went touring the next day!

  • They name a school after him in SF until they closed it ):

  • WOW.... I could of seen his grave, only stopped to see Rocky statue and run the steps. Pressed for time passing through Phily.

    thx for the post!

  • The man! got to give one of our home town heroes props!

  • @njdx1 I say in the video that "Franklin is one of five signers of the Declaration of Independence buried here at the Christ Church burial ground at the corner of Fifth and Arch here in Philadelphia." I wasn't talking about the total number of signers of the Declaration of Independence. I await your apology.

  • @markkali01

Don't hold your breath. Look at his channel: he only posts nasty comments.

    Nice video.

  • @markkali01 He'll apologize when you get out your long form birth certificate.

  • @njdx1

lol... njdx1... I don't think you were actually listening to what the dude said... so to call him a moron is pretty moronic.

  • @njdx1 lol your a dumbass

  • @njdx1 MORON!!!!!!!

  • Wish we had some men like Ben Franklin in government right now.

  • i agree

  • great video thanks was in Philadelphia a couple of weeks ago, rd up 4th or 5th visiting, saw a very old cemetry in a church yawish i had seen this earlier. A keen aussie visitor.

  • it's been over 200 years since his death. Wow.

  • @Gracie05452 yea seems just like yesterday lol

  • Thank you.

  • I was there on Aug 30th and I'm actually uploading my video of Ben's grave site as I'm typing now. One of the caretakers of the burial ground told me that one of the surveyors of the Mason-Dixon Line is buried there, but they don't know where as his records have been lost to posterity.

  • If Benjamin Franklin came back to visit us now who could look him in the eye knowing how we let the REPUBLIC he fought so hard for was allowed to slip back into TYRANNY. He warned that "those who would trade liberty for security deserve and shall have neither"!

  • @DontTread0nMe1776 i agree

  • in was there yesterday!

  • There are older graves in that cemetary than just Mr. Franklin's. There's a few other cemetaries in the area with graves even older.

Francis Hopkinson, Joseph Hewes, George Ross, and Benjamin Rush are the other 4 signers buried in that lot.

And there's still one unoccupied grave site there..for some lady who attends Christ Church.

  • Thankyou so much for posting, I love history!

  • Thank you for sharing this with us.
