stayed at the holiday inn right next to the cemetery. the hotel's wall is part of the perimeter. Had no idea I was resting right next to such an American Icon until i went touring the next day!

Are you a total bafoon and idiot? You dont even know what you're talking about. You said he's one of the "five" signers of the Declaration of Independence? Are you a fucking Downs Syndrome moron???? You idiot - 56 people signed it. How the hell did you think there were 5?? My god stupidity in this country thanks to the liberal media
@njdx1 I say in the video that "Franklin is one of five signers of the Declaration of Independence buried here at the Christ Church burial ground at the corner of Fifth and Arch here in Philadelphia." I wasn't talking about the total number of signers of the Declaration of Independence. I await your apology.
great video thanks was in Philadelphia a couple of weeks ago, rd up 4th or 5th visiting, saw a very old cemetry in a church yawish i had seen this earlier. A keen aussie visitor.
I was there on Aug 30th and I'm actually uploading my video of Ben's grave site as I'm typing now. One of the caretakers of the burial ground told me that one of the surveyors of the Mason-Dixon Line is buried there, but they don't know where as his records have been lost to posterity.
If Benjamin Franklin came back to visit us now who could look him in the eye knowing how we let the REPUBLIC he fought so hard for was allowed to slip back into TYRANNY. He warned that "those who would trade liberty for security deserve and shall have neither"!

There are older graves in that cemetary than just Mr. Franklin's. There's a few other cemetaries in the area with graves even older.
Francis Hopkinson, Joseph Hewes, George Ross, and Benjamin Rush are the other 4 signers buried in that lot.
And there's still one unoccupied grave site there..for some lady who attends Christ Church.

I think this is the oldest grave I've seen that dates back to the 1700's.
