hmm interesting experiment,the temperature needed to release the hydrogen etc would be huge,the arc may be able to do it but why doesn't it carry on burning like a chain reaction.

if u add salt water cap...the effect will be more intense

I am going to try this with increasing amounts of NaCl and see what kind of changes I get. This video here was with distilled H2O, no NaCl added.
