I just subscribed, and dude...some of these people are brutal! I'm a huge Peart follower...you're the only guy who has covered Peart who I considered good enough to subscribe to. You're an amazing listener, because you really are spot-on with a lot of the details. As for the critics who tell you when you miss a ghost note here and there, they kind of need to get a life. I always wondered what cymbal your suppose to hit. Does it have to do with the position of your hands and what's closest to you. When you have a lot of cymbals I would think it would get confusing. What's a good rule of thumb.

I think the only glaring 'note-for-note' stuff I missed was the ride cymbal diddles on the slower parts. Other than that, and a few kind of muddy fills that are hard to make out near the end, it's pretty faithful to the original. Remember, this is a just a jam to one of my drumming inspirations and favourite songs from Kansas.

"Far" from perfect? I WAS just having fun, but I think it's pretty close to what was played on the album. The only things I did differently was not play some complicated ride patterns and put in a couple of extra fills. Other than that, I think it's pretty fucking close.
