Her name is Shanice Williams. She was a recording artist back in the 90's, so you can probably dig up more stuff by her pretty easily.

@WizardofOzfan39 Wrong last name. Her birth name is Shanice Wilson. I've looked up on imdb.com. You should check on the website more often and she's ten years older than me. That's makes her 22 or 23 years old when she sings in this as Dorothy's singing voice.

I was also 6 years old when this was on TV and we ALSO taped it so I could watch it whenever I wanted to!

I always wanted to be Dorothy and actually ended up taking skating lessons because of this. Thank you so much for putting it up! I haven't seen this in ages.

The entire Oz series is online now for you to read. Try looking it up. I believe Ozmatron is one of the sites that offers the books for free. They also keep some of the original illustrations (which are awesome) on the site with the text.

I have read them all. Dorothy is absent from the 2nd book (The Marvelous Land of Oz) but reappears in the 3rd (Ozma of Oz). After that she is in everyone in some capacity. Some books she plays a larger role than others.
