  • I've tried to find this on my phone but it doesn't show up. This video is awesome so please make it available to mobile devices

  • This continues to be one of my favorite videos ever. Please make it available on mobile devices.

  • RESPECT

  • i started crying i need to lose weight this is so sad...

  • what shoes he had? at 0:14

  • The last guy,,,,,,touching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • @Lexisplevy1 , yes, but his timing chip is on his foot.... so waste of effort!

  • can i handle it you ask? i'm afraid the answer is NO. Maybe next year the answer will be a resounding YES

  • Almost got tears!! the dedication, i mean!!!

  • RESPECT to all of them

  • :o

  • amazing video

  • imagine doing 6 hours of this a day for 3 weeks... oh wait thats the tour de france and imagine then doing that 3 times a year oh wait thats the giro de itali and the vuelta

  • @122ffsdd It takes at least 8 hours to run an ironman not 6 hours!!!

  • @HappyTroll100 well sure but that is only 8 hrs than a week of rest. still 6 hrs for 3 weeks with only 2 days rest. come on that's plenty more brutal. while enduring the 30 mph crashes. im sure no other triathlete has finished a race after going through barbed wire fence or off the side of a swiss switchback.

  • @122ffsdd I agree with you I'm a big cycling fan too its just you have to admit the iroman is pretty brutal!!!

  • @HappyTroll100 it is but i dont think its the greatest thing to accomplish like many people say. it may be the biggest thing that an amature can accomplish. but who wants to be an amature at three sports and not amazing at one. i think its dumb for people to go out and say i wana do a triathlon when they suck at swimming running and biking. and i think conquering multiple mountain passes and riding a couple thousand miles in a few weeks is much more amazing.

  • @122ffsdd

Dude... Most people are quite average and hence, "amateurs". Being able to Swim 3,8 ride 180 and run 42,2 under 16 hours isn't sucking at these sports, quite contrary. Saying so is a major underestimation. Tours are to my knowlegde to pro's only. Not everyone can, or want to be a pro.

  • EMINEM TILL I COLLAPSE!!

  • Respect 2 the guy in the rolling char 2:12

  • @2:26 Exhausted just after the swim? You've still a long way to go, buddy.

  • @MrManthalete says a fat fuck behind a keyboard...

  • @silver222333 I do triathlons and distance running myself you prick, so your argument is invalid.

  • @MrManthalete Ok...still, as far as I know you could as well be a fat fuck behind a keyboard (same could apply for me). Lets just say that leaving negative or judgmental comments on videos as this is a bit...yea whatever. You should know what I mean. If not...cheers anyway and happy running!

  • this is seriously a MIND FUCK sport game!!!

  • When Chuck Norris did his 1st Ironman, after finishing he went back to the beach to see the 2nd place coming out of the water.

  • video is very inspirational ,to all of you who like it

  • @kamden30 Good luck, I'm running in it too! 12 hours to start!!!!!

  • Thank you for posting this.

  • Damn! Talk about not giving up. The last scene shows how bad people want to finish! That's far beyond competing, that's doing it for yourself!

  • @mofoman675

Well thank you! One year ago I was a total wimp in terms of triathlon and long-distance sports...

So, even if you too feel like a wimp, you can do it... You can do anything really, as long as you have the tools - the tools being a heart, preferably a set of legs, a set of arms and a bike...

  • Amazing...

  • can you make it available for iphones? I would like to have it in my phone all the time

  • 2:20 the guy is already dead after the swim no way he will make it till the end...

  • This is just what I needed with IMKY less than 30 days out.

  • Goosebumps, everytime

  • huge respect to anyone who has done a tri. I don't know how you do it.

  • The last 3 videos I've watched have resulted in Eminiem shouting at me. Irritating

  • @starcraftiskool, sorry but your an idiot. A 27k is just shy of 17 miles, and to run that in 2 hours 20 minutes your averaging around an 8:30-9:00 mile pace which is nowhere near elite status. how about the marathoners that do 26.2 miles in almost under 2 hours? next time, dont post if you dont know what your talking about.

  • 10 osob sie opierdala.

  • Fantastic video!

  • the best Eminem`s video :))

  • I will do in jully 17 in sherbrook the O2 challenge ... It's 3-80-20 ... Till I collapse ... =)

  • I'm pro

  • Superação...

  • Very cool!

  • @MrShashiri

    it's Till I Collapse- eminem

  • lipa jak cie do kibla przycisnie w trakcie :D

  • @TenCinek w Polsce zawsze w kszaki się wbiegnie, ale na Hawajach mało krzaków ;-)))

  • @TenCinek srasz na poboczu i tyle

  • I'm running a half marathon with my best friend this upcoming October. We are training hard, really hard. Every day we push ourselves and every day the run gets longer and we are more tired. But its just the beginning and this is just an inspiration for all of us that want to stick to our dreams and want get to that finish line, even if our bodies collapse.

  • @NelaYanela For an half-marathon, you have no chance to crumble. That is not long enough, if you are ready, this distance is the perfect stepping stone leading to a marathon the very next year.

Bon Courage ! Keep the faith in you !

  • That guy on the very left is my coach!! Scott Davis! He's a top age grouper! What a coincidence!

  • beast shit right there

  • This is fucking intense and epic!

  • One day and fourteen hours 'till i'm gonna start my first 70.3 Ironman in St.Pölten Austria! If i finish that god damn line i'll be allowed to start at "Ironman Austria 2012"!!

  • people who can finish that is not human...beasts !

  • I want to run on Iron Man at 20 years old (:

  • good video but I still don't get all those people that collapse after the swim... what the hell were they thinking? did they think thye could do a full Ironman and not even train for 4k swim?... the only exemption I can think of would be cramping!

  • @eab1974 I saw the guy you're talking about in the video. I wasn't there, but it could be a bunch of other things:

He was ill beforehand - People train for MONTHS for an IM, and they don't give refunds if you're not up to it. So some people just go for it.

Some swims have gross stuff in the water. Swallow enough of it, and you can get ill.

IM swims are a contact sport. You can get kicked and punched (by accident). If you take a good one to the head, it can stop you right there.

  • @joshtube9 fair comment

  • IRON MAN!

  • 0:30 ROCKY BALBOA IN ABOUT 20 YEARS!

  • i wanna do this one day...

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I GO TO THIS

  • these guys are monsters!

  • My passion in life is making new deep discoveries in math - and it WOULD be applying those discoveries to the creation / biosynthesis in the laboratory of meat and human beings so animals need not be bred/slaughtered and women need not get pregnant again to continue the human species: but that requires a team effort, and my dream is to work with a team with the same passion and vision.

Still, athletes like Olympians/Ironman inspire me to work harder on my own stuff!

  • Obviously, there must be some maximum time allowed to complete an ironman, right? After all, I know I've "run" at least 26 miles in total, swam at least 2 miles in total, and bicycled at least 180km in total in my life (I'm 47).

I find the ironman terribly biased against the leg muscles. i.e. the bicycle and marathon parts are totally redundant. They really need a more arm-exercising event. I don't know what (walk on hands for 2 miles?)

  • @mphello It's a triathlon - Swim, Ride, Run?? Well that's what I thought a triathlon was, it's not that the ironman triathlin is biased at all

  • @T1NDALLBROS I don't mean SOCIALLY biased, if that's what you thought I meant. But, don't you understand what I meant? 2 of the 3 events are "heavy on the leg muscles". Now, say, instead of the ride, they had "push a boulder up a mountain" That would give more exercise to the arms.

Hey - I DON'T know anything about training for an ironman. I want to be informed. That's all.

  • NO PAIN.

    NO GAIN!

  • it doesnt matter what your time you got, its the effort that you put in to it

  • Ironman is the first step in becoming an ultraman.

  • whats this song called?

  • @truegirl2001 "Till I Collapse" by Eminem

  • @klarum Morons more like athletes who push there body to the extent to prove to them selfs that they can do anything

  • @XDigdug45X I can push myself to cut off one of my hands with no pain killers just to prove I can do anything. Like I said morons...

  • @klarum It's something you prove to yourself, the assumption in your comment exposes your will to impress others. I hope you overcome that compulsion.

  • @klarum It takes guts to do this. Your just jealous...and probably fat

  • @klarum and youll never understand what it takes to do this...you may see that its stupid to do it...to others its a challenge to the mind and body

  • @klarum Haha what a Moron!

  • I've done that :)

  • Comment removed

  • wow,the running must be the hardest part,I feel bad for the people that didn't even get done with the swimming part.:(

  • Best video ever! makes me feel like if they can do it, so can i! running the boston marathon 2011 tomorrow, and this song has officially made it on my playlist.

  • I'm 16 right now, in 1 and a half years I will finish the ford Arizona Ironman.

  • @TheBlarto Want to do it together?

  • @misnerm sure :)

  • I'm 21, and it is my dream to complete the Ironman...I still have a very, very long way to go, but one of these days, i WILL do it...and no one can stop me.

  • @satolicious

    I couldn't swim a 100 meters just 9 months ago. Now I swim the 2.4 miles in 1 hour 12 minutes.

Over 120 km bike ride I could barely break the 20 km/h average. Now I bike 150 with 31 km/h average.

I couldn't run more than 6 miles - and that took over one hour. Today I ran 27 km in 2 hours 20 minutes.

You can do anything. Progress is just a footstep away.

  • @HarringtonAlex sorry but i dont beleive the 2 hour 20 minute thing. i dont wanna take away from your accomplishments but that would be fast enough to qualify for the US marathon olympic trials and many elite runners dont run that speed

  • @starcraftiskool It's not miles - it's kilometres ;)

27k at that time is about 8:20 per mile, which is kinda slow, but then again, I was a REALLY bad runner just one year ago..

  • @HarringtonAlex oops haha sorry i missed that lol :P

  • @HarringtonAlex and congrats on everything you have accomplished, i hope the ironman goes well!!

  • @HarringtonAlex I`m a venezuelan man, i,m 30 years old, just now i decided to be an Ironman, thanks for your words, it make feel that i can do it! @mickydarauche

  • Comment removed

  • @mickydarauche Yeah, do it man! I just did mine in Nice,,, Was an awesome day! Did it in 13:50. Felt great finishing it!

The hardest bit is your training. Find a way of staying positive, even when everything else is falling apart... On the hills at 70 k (7% climb for ~20k) I went: "How are you doing?", and people would say: "Man, I feel terrible - how bout you?"... The only reply is: "Man, this is a great day, this is awesome, never felt better!!!"

    Do it ;)

  • @HarringtonAlex I finally did Ironman Nice... WHAT AN AWESOME DAY!!!

Had a good swim, 1 hour 20 minutes, a GREAT bikeride of 6:34 on a very hilly course with about 6000 feet of climb and a HORRIBLE marathon of 5:30...

MY ROAD ID SAID: "TILL I COLLAPSE", but I didn't! :)

All in all, with transitions, I did it in 13:50. I was busted, but I couldn't have felt better. If you want to do it, there's nothing to it - do the training and stay happy, that'll get you through :)

  • @HarringtonAlex Congrats. inspiring.

  • @HarringtonAlex

    How did you start?

  • @MikeKay1978

As I wrote, I couldn't run more than 8k to start with, and I couldn't swim. So one of my biggest priorities was getting my swim in order. I learned to level my body in the water (most important thing for a newbie, IMO) by swimming only with my legs, holding a floating-board with my stretched arms. The important thing is to swing your legs from your hips, not the knees! That will level you off after some practice... Then you start practicing stroke with help from coach and Youtube.

  • @MikeKay1978

And then of course I started doing base training. Getting used to training 6 days a week and mentally getting to know long training hours (do them on the bike). I did 1 long bike ride each week to begin with, swimming and running a lot of medium distances (12k) to get my tendons and joints ready for the heavy period of training....

    - Learn to swim

    - Learn what it is like to keep going for 2-3 hours.

    - Run to prepare joints for tough times.

    That's it :)

  • @HarringtonAlex

Truly impressing, lets see how far i'll get though having a 6 months old child at home have prooven that there is not much time off.

  • @MikeKay1978 Just take it easy. Remember that I trained for it in 10 months, with by far the most of the training in the last 5 months. Take your time, enjoy the sport. If you are persistent, you will do it in a few years time - so what?

I chose to do it this fast at my young age of 20 only because I have 5 years of studying ahead of me, making me too poor to participate :P Sabbatical Ironman!

  • @HarringtonAlex Congratulations, what was your training schedule? I'm trying to train for next year's UK ironman.

  • @SourceBoom

It's kinda hard to say. To be honest, I wasn't very scientific in my training, so it wasn't very cost effective.

But I started learning what it is to stay in the saddle for a long time (say 80k+) and started learning running over longer distances (10k+) - and of couse, swimming.

During your buildup (winter), it will be a good idea to get your joints and tendons ready for the stress of marathoning, and also getting your swim technique sorted. Biking is really heavy towards the end

  • @HarringtonAlex Thanks :) I have the swimming sorted, been a keen swimmer since I was 8ish, running should be fine as well - hardest will definitely be biking.
