Where'd you get 5k from all of a sudden? Also, you're ignoring points C and E. I've done inspects for 25-man raids, it's not that hard and it's way more accurate than gearscore will ever be.
@eatfreshsub if you want a no fail raid you would, i joined an icc25 and the RL made sure everyone knew the fights, and had the gear for it, there are some exceptions to gear, like greatness, +300 str or agi on a proc is pretty decent from what i know, and it is a lvl 200 item, if you understand how things work, know how to play your class, and know the fight, there shouldnt be a problem, gear does help tho, a lot

GS doesn't = Skill and I know that, but it does help show what your capable of, Trinkets aren't a huge factor when it comes to GS, just main body pieces really effect your overall score, and are usually the pieces that you wont find a lower iLVL that is an upgrade. People need to stop complaining.

@shadowofthedarkworld. Blizzard did this at the end of WOTLK so that the new 80's will be taken into the new raids, and none of the old content, no one will run Naxx to gear up. They wanted the people that bought the game late after launch to catch up with everyone else. Once Cata comes out gear will be obtained as the launch of WOTLK was. Dont complain, Blizzard is only trying to help People and There alts get geared so people dont get bored.

warlocks can pick a colour and hellfire, each hellfire gives you 15 debuffs, you can start the fight with 90+ debuffs and will power-up right away. locks should always top dps charts here.
This fight is too easy, they could've made it slightly a challenge by maybe forcing the healers to go to the opposite colour of the dps/tanks of their assigned side. For the most part ToC is a joke, it's pretty much a filler raid before ICC.
Have you ever played this on Heroic 25? Healers pretty much have to go the opposite color as the tank they are healing, where the opposite orbs will slam the tank with too much damage to heal through.
Unless your tanks and healers suck, The tanks take the orbs. Depending on how you do this strat, you can use the cheap door way strat which you have the tanks soak all orbs and 2 ranged (Hunters/Mages) get the other color(soakers) Thats the easiest strat that blizz hasn't fixed yet.
I've tried the macros and commands but nuthing seems to work...I cant get my camera to zoom more than the bliz norm limit n its driving me up the wall...someone help pls...thank you
sometimes the camera doesnt zoom to max - if there is an obstacle in view, typically a wall. In interface menu, you can switch off and on whether you want the camera to zoom in, if there is a wall between your character and camera point of view

I love this fight, on both 10 and 25 man, I've found really the only possible problem is people not paying attention the the essence they need to be affected by.
No Having the opposite essence of the Valkyr you are tanking, will up your damage (And threat ) on the mob. But you also have to be ready to switch if the valkyrs cast vortex to the appropriate essence. If you do not you will die quickly and wipe your raid because you died. But on the twins pact you will never have to switch you just have to make sure u maintain agro on the boss and hope your dps are capable enough to destroy/interrupt the shield and spell in time.
i understand the taking the shield down part but my question is: is it possible to take down the shield without switching essences? it may save some time for the dps to drop the shield but not sure if enough damage would be thrown out in time.
If you change the essence you get more dmg on that other Valkyr while tanking down the shield. If you have the same as he does then you'll do lesser dmg and probably don't have enough dps to take the shield down b4 she casts the heal...
No it is not possible, thats why they missed the first "Twins Pact" That was cast, because half the dps didn't switch..It is imparitive that all dps switch essences and quickly attack the target..my recommendation is "If you have dbm" you should watch the timer for the next special ability, at about 5 seconds you should pull off the boss and get ready to switch (If you are required to switch hopefully u'll be near the opposite portal and switching immediately so you can begin dps on the caster.
That probably dosen't apply to this fight, since you do gain a dmamage buff from the portals on the respective twin, unless I'm mistaken, which I probbably am.
The 100% damage increase is only for like 20 seconds, then you have to collect more orbs. And I know he dint have the 100% increase for the whole fight. I'm still wondering what his dps is though....
yea thats awsome. i have a life now 2 jobs. before i didnt have and could spend hours on razorgore,bwl,and naxx 40 but now the game evolved into 2 ways :casual and hardcore. 80% are casual and pay the same price as the hardcore so why should casuals get same epic gear? wotlk ftw, hopefully cataclysm will be the same or abit more challenging than naxx

exactly. im a hardcore but not a no life hardcore. i would never pay a single penny not for the website, not for ingame stuff. the only thing i pay is the expansions and monthly fee. the rest is just for dumb obsessed ppl. my guild downed anubarak hard mode and algalon. i dont enjoy the gear or the victory as much as i enjoy the scenario. the beauty of ulduar is the best thing for me in the game. not big numbers on my character. Lore is 100x more fun for me than the gear and stuff. but..

Because A: Greatness for example is still a good trinket.
B: They could be wearing gear just to get a higher gearscore. Which is fucking stupid.
C: They could be gemming spirit on a shaman.
D: To this day, I have seen 2 people ask for a realistic gearscore for a raid.
E: It really doesn't take long to inspect 24 people, if you seriously think so you're doing it wrong.
F: Most succesful PuG's I've seen were when the raidleader decided to carefully choose his members instead of "OMG 5.5K GS UR IN"

This fight is too easy, they could've made it slightly a challenge by maybe forcing the healers to go to the opposite colour of the dps/tanks of their assigned side. For the most part ToC is a joke, it's pretty much a filler raid before ICC.

Have you ever played this on Heroic 25? Healers pretty much have to go the opposite color as the tank they are healing, where the opposite orbs will slam the tank with too much damage to heal through.

Tank shouldn't get hit with the orbs too often, else they're doing something wrong :)

Unless your tanks and healers suck, The tanks take the orbs. Depending on how you do this strat, you can use the cheap door way strat which you have the tanks soak all orbs and 2 ranged (Hunters/Mages) get the other color(soakers) Thats the easiest strat that blizz hasn't fixed yet.

I've tried the macros and commands but nuthing seems to work...I cant get my camera to zoom more than the bliz norm limit n its driving me up the wall...someone help pls...thank you

sometimes the camera doesnt zoom to max - if there is an obstacle in view, typically a wall. In interface menu, you can switch off and on whether you want the camera to zoom in, if there is a wall between your character and camera point of view

Nah mate it's not, i changed that camera thingy but still cannot zoom out that much, not even close to that much so it gotta be something else like resolution or something or a mod or whatever, id like to know what though

I love this fight, on both 10 and 25 man, I've found really the only possible problem is people not paying attention the the essence they need to be affected by.

No Having the opposite essence of the Valkyr you are tanking, will up your damage (And threat ) on the mob. But you also have to be ready to switch if the valkyrs cast vortex to the appropriate essence. If you do not you will die quickly and wipe your raid because you died. But on the twins pact you will never have to switch you just have to make sure u maintain agro on the boss and hope your dps are capable enough to destroy/interrupt the shield and spell in time.

i understand the taking the shield down part but my question is: is it possible to take down the shield without switching essences? it may save some time for the dps to drop the shield but not sure if enough damage would be thrown out in time.

If you change the essence you get more dmg on that other Valkyr while tanking down the shield. If you have the same as he does then you'll do lesser dmg and probably don't have enough dps to take the shield down b4 she casts the heal...

No it is not possible, thats why they missed the first "Twins Pact" That was cast, because half the dps didn't switch..It is imparitive that all dps switch essences and quickly attack the target..my recommendation is "If you have dbm" you should watch the timer for the next special ability, at about 5 seconds you should pull off the boss and get ready to switch (If you are required to switch hopefully u'll be near the opposite portal and switching immediately so you can begin dps on the caster.

That probably dosen't apply to this fight, since you do gain a dmamage buff from the portals on the respective twin, unless I'm mistaken, which I probbably am.

The 100% damage increase is only for like 20 seconds, then you have to collect more orbs. And I know he dint have the 100% increase for the whole fight. I'm still wondering what his dps is though....

Yeah you're right, however crits like that aren't very rare actually, I would say he's between 5-6k dps.

in the key bindings options, asign a key for the camera "zoom out" and "zoom in". Also make sure your camera max distance option is set for max.

yea thats awsome. i have a life now 2 jobs. before i didnt have and could spend hours on razorgore,bwl,and naxx 40 but now the game evolved into 2 ways :casual and hardcore. 80% are casual and pay the same price as the hardcore so why should casuals get same epic gear? wotlk ftw, hopefully cataclysm will be the same or abit more challenging than naxx

alot of hardcore players pay for extra crap that most ppl dont know about. alot of hardcore guild require a monthly fee to up keep websites. and for you to have a sec account for faster lvling. also for you to keep your computer in top shape. wrath wasnt that easy. many ppl to this day have yet to clear nax. or step more then 6 bosses in to uld. it still something to say i down yogg.

exactly. im a hardcore but not a no life hardcore. i would never pay a single penny not for the website, not for ingame stuff. the only thing i pay is the expansions and monthly fee. the rest is just for dumb obsessed ppl. my guild downed anubarak hard mode and algalon. i dont enjoy the gear or the victory as much as i enjoy the scenario. the beauty of ulduar is the best thing for me in the game. not big numbers on my character. Lore is 100x more fun for me than the gear and stuff. but..
