So, is the field contaminated since she went up to difibrilate? What would they do if they went on with the surgery and they did maintain normal heart rate? Do they redrape? I was just curious what the Surg Tech would do in this instance, i realize that the most important thing for the CST is to maintain the sterile field....

A defibrillator doesn't convert VT into VF. I may be wrong, but I've never seen a defibrillator shock at 200J shock VT into VF.
