HA! Your kidding right, Burton is an over advertised company. You could easily buy a GNU, Capita, Neversummer, Lib tech, Ride, or forum board for cheaper that out preforms Burton boards.
Some problems other people have had are the bolts that secure the binding may get lose and if one of the bolts get lose and you get the board in the wrong situation, you could ruin the whole ICS.
In the end, being able to make quick adjustments to the bindings even while your still bound in the binding is the best reason I like the ICS. I keep a small tool with me at all times to make adjustments and it takes a couple minutes to completely change the stance and offset comfortably.
Again, its not maybe. You can use ANY burton bindings with the ICS system. just because your in norway doesnt mean that it wont work.......lol and if you buy an ics board,it'll ship with the hardware to fit the regular burton bindings.
My opinion is that you should by K2 or technine or GNU or forum or Ride or SAlomon or...well you get the idea cuz when you buy Burton you're just buying a name...those bindings look almost like the Technine SLC just with a different back on it but the boards binding mounting system should be used on all brands of boards...thats just my opinion
When ur talking about burton clothes ur buying a name. When it's hardgoods ur completly wrong. For the first i live in Norway. Well known for snowboard. 2 I want a technine board. But no one in norway is importing them to norway. So thats why i choose burton: it has some of the best allround boards. Technine and GNU has the best park/street boards. But ive riden most of what u can think of. And i know burton is some of the best u can get on the market.
Can someone explain what ICS is? I found a thin box in a parking lot the other day, that says "ICS Kit" on it, made by Burton. Opened it up and there were two disc looking objects in it. I ain't a boarder so if these are worth something I wouldn't mind selling them on eBay. What do these disc looking things do? Are they worth much?
the ics (infinite channel system) is basically a channel in the middle of the board that uses two bolts to mount the bindings on, which allows infinite angle and width for your stance. What you found was an adapter for the older, 3D mounting system for burton bindings. Those discs just allow you to mount the older bindings on the new ICS boards. The discs arent really worth that much, so i dont think it would be worth selling them on Ebay.
Thanks for the reply BTAG4, that helps. I checked out eBay the other day to see if anybody was selling them and there was a seller who had them listed, and the bidding has reached $25 US so far...not bad.
i have some burton p1hd bindings from like forever ago would it work with this? it doesnt have the 3d baseplate so would i have to buy something to make it work?
i think any burton binding is compatible with the ICS system. the EST bindings work the best but you can get a baseplate that lets the 3D bindings work.
just got one of these today (without est bindings) and i can't wait to ride it :) first board ever so i think i'm gonna have loads of fun with this for years of riding to come

daBomb87yo 2 years ago
No, the ICS system only fits with the burton EST system. So u cant use old bindings without EST.
Olaipai 2 years ago
you can buy a special plate so that you can actually
Shizock 2 years ago
Thats not true. you can use any burton binding with the ICS system. The board should be shipped with the hardware.

Dont answer me "U can just buy it from a nettshop!" The cost if i do that, I can just add 70-120 $ dollars just on shipping and toll.
