With a little effort in the garden, these people don't need to do much else, but go fishing. They don't see the sharks circling.
Nauru is another case in point. Money flooded that island from the Phospate Mining. They did diversify and invest in various business including hotels in places like Fiji, Guam etc but gross mismanagement resulted in their collapse and the near collapse of the island economy.
Thank you for the documentary, it really showed that the Tuvaluans need to learn more about managing their own dotTV and ICT businesses. I would rather liked for Tuvalu to manage dotTV on their own with partnerships with foreign companies..however it lacks the capacity
