Suzuki Aveo? Wtf? The Aveo was sold by Chevy, And was built by Daewoo.

The Daewoo Ecotec 1.6l could have been used in this machine, You don't have a clue.

Your thinking of the D-Tec series engine. Typically referred to as the "original Ecotec," I'm referring to the modern Ecotec I.e. LSJ, LNF, LEK, LAP, LAF L61 etc such as the L61 powering this particular car. Not the SOHC rubber belt driven 4 cylinders developed in the 1970's. There's really no relation whatsoever between the original XE (ecotec) and the newer ones. Lotus didn't design the engine they designed the head on some variants and Cosworth did the same thing on others.

@littlebigman243 Uhm not necessarily. There's multiple engines on the Ecotec architecture. My 03 LS Sport Cavalier has a 2.2 Ecotec aka L61. 250hp, rod problems. 300ish, pistons end up with cracked ring lands. I'm almost positive the LSJ and the LNF both have forged internals, however.

The LNF can't make much over 400 because of it being limited by fuel until the fuel injector market catches up with direct injection.

I'll take my DSM though, stock block and internals. Bulletproof.
