  • Man this go HARD!!!! RIP Jaco...

  • I never gave a damn what the pundits said. Jaco was a genius. The shit that the same type of people talked about Thelonious was very similar. When it all comes down to it they (COLLECTIVELY) were a great band. Stop talking and LISTEN!

  • I think I'm going to make the outro my ringtone

  • Super Mario Brothers

  • The Weather Channel should use this for their local forecast music package.

  • honestly... it kind of sounds like the old bowser dungeons in super mario =/ or at least something from mario.

  • Nice modern feel to a disco pattern, so futuristic it sounds ahead of our time...

  • Those who do not groove to this has something wrong with their nervous system!

  • A great right hand exercise for bassists.

  • @phillybass101 Indeed!

  • Wow...This is electronic music

  • Orgamisc keys

  • A new music...Disco and Blues.

  • @futilityroom And Funk and Jazz

  • ZAWINUL IS ZAWNUL HE PUT YEAH HE IS GREAT BUT I HATE HIM TURNING JACO ON IN MY EYES HE KILLED HIM !

  • Jaco hated Joe steppin' on his notes.

  • @dougcash1 Joe was a great genius and an egotist.

  • @KABRIS1 You're so right, he killed that band with his giant ego and that mountain of keyboards he had...what a jerk.

  • @timages Joe was the one with the vision. He made Weather Report.

  • @deepseabattles Believe what you want, he killed that band and the great sound it had in the early 70s with his huge ego and lust for money. He forced everyone out, and what did he do after Weather Report? Zero. Wayne Shorter's Quartet is making the best Jazz music today. In fact Zawinul himself said Wayne was the greatest musician he ever played with, greater then Miles.

This track is hardly the music they were making in the beginning...please. It's more like World disco.

  • @timages so you don't think Weather Report wanted to move in another direction and sell out stadiums instead of halls ? bullshit! Pastorious wanted to move on what do you think Miles did with his music upon hiring Marcus Miller ? do you think "TuTu " is the same kind of music as " Kind of blue" or Miles Smiles" ? wake up ! oh and I hate to break it to you but Mr Shorter (who is every bit as good as you say btw) has passed!

  • @MrSluggo666 like I said believe what you want, this album got just one star from Downbeat magazine, the lowest ever given to a WR album...enough said.

...in fact the only thing worth listening on it is Wayne's haunting piece, "The Elders"

  • @timages Lets see " Heavy weather" not only featuring but co produced by Pastorious, received a 5 star review from Downbeat ( you seem to have ignored this) and to quote Wikipedia is probably their best critically evaluated album, you just don't get it sport ,too bad we can't go back to the time when you could get a good 5 cent cigar pops !

  • @MrSluggo666 ...you're angry and stupid...no more e mails pops

  • @timages I humiliated you publicly by showing you know nothing, don't recall any e mails grampa !

  • best song ever. Listen to this while strollin' through Georgetown and you will be the happiest man alive

  • Check out the live versions, they are much better. Especially the one from their performance at Stadthalle Offenbach.

  • i had this when i was a teen in the 70s....i always thought it should have been called March of the Ant People...

  • Anyone notice the cough in the beginning?

  • @Munoz783 : heh, you are right :]

  • @Munoz783 thought that was the only one who listened

  • Samiyam did this track justice

  • @TheAwesomeBlossom Wooord

  • @TheAwesomeBlossom which Samiyam track? i forgot. shit's buggin me. lol

  • @stalesteez flinstone car

  • Only 5,412 views - amazing..

  • This was on Beat Dimension...great track

  • bu de bu dap bu dway!

  • Jaco recorded the bass and octave notes on seperate tracks. the cough at the beginning was a tribute to Taxman by the Beatles

  • @PhuckHue2 thats very interesting could you cite your sources?

  • @madmandan55 my ears is the source. I am a musical genius

  • @PhuckHue2 - that's funny, he played them both live in real time.

  • my Dad used to play the hell out of this album

  • @misslittlemomma much of this record could be used for torture purposes ;)
