Saw B.B. play last year. It's obvious his health has declined, mild stroke from the looks of it. He mostly talked, told stories, but when he mustered enough strength to raise his hand up to Lucille's neck it shivers down my spine. As Toby Keith said, "I'm as good once as I ever was."
Cautiously optimistic too. His voice sounds better than it has the past 8 years or so. He sounded fairly good all along, but his voice lost power, this song requires power to sing and he had it.
It looks like the same section I was sitting in...ultra-nosebleed! What a night! (And I ran into Dallas Schoo afterwards! Thanks for a memorable night, guys!
I love all of you fans who get so excited that "his voice is back!!!" But guys, his voice has been back for the last 8 years. It's actually better than ever now!!!
at last they play this which hasn't been done since the Zoo tv tours actually really surprised that they didn't play this one the vertigo tour in Australia?? next to angel Of Harlem ........only U2 can
This is just amazing! I get chills listening to this. I remember during R+H BB telling Bono yea Im 62 and me thinking man hes old. Now 20 years later hes still doing it. Hats off to you BB King and U2 :)
I was there for this. Clearly the video can't do the actual live show justice (and shouldn't expect to). Being there live was pretty special, I must say.

And look at Mr. King pull out those notes towards the end. Outstanding performance by both men, it shows that they are truly timeless!!!

B.B. is 80 years old. I hope I can still kick it when I'm 80. American Legend!! Listen how fast his fingers still play. Amazing!
