  • this is Sin!

  • the beginning looks like Family Tree

  • def better than sin. the end of this song makes it great for me.

  • @ztarmethal thanks for the info doctor dickhead

  • This is how the song was originally suppose to sound. The producer told them to change the lyrics.

  • This song remind's me of Diadems mostly because of the vocals

  • @sstrawberryss want me to tell you how to open a chocolate bar?

  • @birdman89100 This was the original version of "Sin." The lyrics were changed because a management director for the album objected to the lyrics (the same happened to "Vortex" and "Bullprick," the latter of which became "FFF" on the final). Dave didn't like being told to change things, but he went along with it because he felt maybe the director could help him shape Cryptic Writings into a #1 record (but no Megadeth releases have beaten Countdown To Extinction— peaked at #2).

  • i agree with emanny237. this version sounds heavier. the youthanasia guitar sound helps. it sounds like it's from the same batch.

  • @kapnkrinkly Evil that's within "Sin", Vortex alternate "Vortex" , Bullprick "FFF" all these songs were written and has been recorded during Youthanasia session

The acoustic part of Trust was also written during that period, it's from a song called Absolution.

"At the end of just about every record we did, we wound up with a few tunes too many, so we had to choose which ones we would cut from the album and use as B-sides, etc", Marty Friedman

  • dave always writes all the songs himself except for a few cases. what are you talking about

  • I like this version better the final version on CW called "Sin" sounds a nit poppy. This one has kind of an angrier sound!

  • wtf is "nit"

  • my guess is he's a brit. Nit should mean " a little bit".

  • The track is from "Youthanasia" era and like most of the "Cryptic Writings" songs are from that era...

  • dave himself said 1/3 is youthanasia sounding

    1/3 rust in peace

    1/3 countdown

  • this sounds like it would have fit better on youthanasia but its still a good song

  • You're right this does sound like a Youthanasia song.

  • I like his singing.....ALOT!!!!!!!!

  • A guy this intelligent should run for President. Dave Mustaine for President

  • hey bro can you give me your e mail to have that song?

  • Yeah it sounds much better than sin!..and has better lyrics!

    Dave for President!

  • @slash260689 WAY better than sin!

  • Fantastic solo

  • i prefer FFF over bullprick

but i prefer this over sin

  • I think this song is not remastered because you can hear the original drum sound..of course The whole album has been remastered but the bonus tracks aren't

  • sin is way better imo, but it was fun to hear

  • I prefer this version to Sin.

  • THanx for the upload!
