this was really bad... I mean you girls probably have a lot of fun, but I honestly don't get the idea of taking music from already done shows, you could have gotten away with choosing some different music. And what's with the "clapping crew" in the background..?

at 0:30 her dress actually falls off...

But hey they are probably good for what it is, a show to hire as entertainment for a wedding or something.

These girls are obviously not Irish dancers, but ballet dancers doing an irish routine. Their knees are those of ballet dancers, not irish.

These girls dance ten times better than me, but 50 times worse that the river dancers. Not even on the same planet.

Can't bring myself to complain about the costumes though, but that's got nothing at all to do with the dancing.

Really, I preferred the dance with a more Irish style (costume) than that of a ... 'I rather not say' style. The synch I understand is quite difficult to get it together so that's an accomplishment, but like Gwynhyvver said, they are a little wobbly. Thanks anyway for uploading this video.

Yes, you are right. I am doing Irish dance for some years, our teacher keeps us doing it right, even in the beginners level. What you mean are "Tips" doing the Tap. They dont wear real Irish Jig shoes/Heavies, so how do they make the sound? And a massive gap between the legs...thats definately irish dance for non-professionals. Just surface.

I cannot get enough of this. I love their faces, they are giving it their all. They are enjoying themselves, bettering themselves, expressing themselves - this fits my definition of ART. I like the music, as to it being Irish dance - well they are close enough - I don't think this group was formed to be professional Irish Dance; York Dancers are more of a show group choregraphing tributes to shows, movies etc. They make my day, - I love you all - keep it up!

oh well. can't do much about the junky-ness of the dancing other than give advice to find a new teacher cuz whoever taught them LIED to them all and for that i am deeply sorry...however, i have not made videos for the whole world to see, not yet anyway, so this isn't my discouraging or making myself out to be better than them this is just me saying to enjoy watching it, but don't think it's like Riverdance or LOTD...

they are not irish dancers! why do jazz, tap and/or ballet dancers think they can do irish dance!!! You never see irish dancers dancing in shows "pretending" to do tap or jazz... so why do other dancers think they can do it. No wonder why the "irish dancing faze" is dead.. its because people put shit out there like that and everyones over it. nice costumes tho :)

Did anyone notice that that girl's skirt fell off in the middle of dancing 0:25 and watch blond (that narrows it down) in the middle... hate when that happens!! but she was casual about it and kept dancing when it fell... Double thumbs up.

cute...but its not quite riverdance (music is the lord of the dance). i think it could be so much better with just some small stuff (like the costumes that look like "tight rope walker" costumes for example). but i agree with toocutexox, join a professional school, or snag a certified teacher to help out a bit, it would make all teh difference and again, its fun! for those who say its not irish dance- it looks like a poorly dont trebel reel...so its just not good irish dance, but its irish dance
