Are BMW Paying fifth gear? The Jag is far better then the BMW! BMW's are boring, the interiors are crap and too much alike to the rest of the range.... The XF has being given all its awards for a reason; ITS FANTASTIC! The XF is far more desirable!

Well, what a suprise! The Brit reviewer didn't try to reccomend the Jag based on stupid cliches like "it has more soul than a german car" or "it's more beautiful and special than a German car"...

The 23 fans managed to push the silly 'soul' thing in people's view though ;)

So when are they going to bring it to the US market? The USA now has the worst selection anywhere on the globe...US regulations I suppose, but many would like the option of a 40+US-mpg XF, Myself among them.

I would like the see the Citroen C5 in the USA as well. It is a wonderful car and with the 2.0L TDI also gets 40+mpg, with a very quiet, balanced and comfy ride.

Speaking of the BMW 520d: Could you please show us a test of the new 525d with the four cylinder engine? I think that while it is a very logical thing to have that engine in that car (the 23d engine was as powerful and more economic than the old 25d 6 cyl.), it might be interesting to find out whether it makes you as "happy" as a 6 cyl does.

I have a sneaking suspicion, that these motoring press people get a huge handout from BMW to make out that there cars are better than all the others, and Im not talking BS because its happened amongst the Germans before ! If you actually own a BMW, like we have, there not all what they seam to be as made out by the press. There good cars, but not much more than that. Fast but not the fastest, well built but not the best, good looking but not stunning. This is where Jags come in. They are beats

@TheONEWELL Off course they do look at Top Gear they rave about anything German and hate anything British unless it's a supercar! I have owned Rovers for the past 10 years and German cars are nice and such but there lifeless and are just too... well clean and boring! That's what I think!

These facelift elements actually ruin the car for me. Wheels are not smarter - good but nothing that special, new headlights are a step back - they look like lifted straight from the XJ, thus the car looses its own "face", character even....IMHO of course.

I'd choose this Jag over a run of the mill german any day. Not that i dislike the german cars, but this is special and seems to have more soul. That's what i'd go for.
