@Farmall211 you have no clue how amazing this guy is...Met him last year for the first time...he is very well respected in the Native community...I am guessing you are not one...and if you are, you want to be someone else...if he sucks, as you say, what is your talent....being an idiot...
@brokl26 I don't like his attitude. And don't talk to me about talent. I'm a real musician. I write about things I understand. Something this guy doesn't do. Easy as that.
@Farmall211 what is it that you understand...Gladstone doesn't understand about the Native American life? Thats what he writes and sings about...thats what his music mimics, history and legacy of Native Americans. Post your music, the ones you wrote, and if you did post it, tell me where to find it and I will give it an honest opinion...are there better musicians and song writers, sure, thats easy enough to say. But Gladstone is a story teller, and his stories are important.
@brokl26 I can agree with that. He is a story teller, but our Indian Studies teacher told him that most of his research he did was wrong about a lot of it. And plus he's from Seattle, and the way he acted at my school was like he was some kind of superstar. That's not what music is about. He's too small to act like some sort of diva. It wasn't his music that sucks. His music is fine. I don't mind it, I don't hate any kind of music. I just dont like how people act when they get to where they
@brokl26 think is success and they get a huge head about it. That's why i don't like Jack Gladstone. That's why I'm a better musician. I just went about what i was trying to say wrong.
@Farmall211 Fair enough. Just one more question, who is your Indian Studies teacher...not a name, but is this teacher actually Native? And what are the teachers credentials...Just curious...I do realize Gladstone's short-comings, yet he is still respected by the Native community...and I would really like to hear what you wrote and play...post it and lets hear it...I am sure its great...with your passion...how can it go wrong...
@brokl26 My Native American History's teacher is an elder to the Salish community that she lives in, as well as I do. She went to college at Salish Kootani College for American Indian History to get her teaching degree. I'm working on getting it posted. It'll be on my facebook. I'll send you the link. But the sarcasm i could do without. Thank you.
@Farmall211 I was not being sarcastic...none intended...i was serious about how passionate you sound in your words here...and I do intend on listening to what you post of your own music...so if I gave you the impression that I was not sincere, I do apologize...I am very familiar with the Salish Kootani College...glad to here that someone from our side is actually teaching about the Natives. Its usually someone that has no clue and read maybe one short story....
This guy came to my school and nobody listened to him. he was SOO pissed. he fucking sucks anyway.
