Sad to say but all they really did "butcher" this song. If you listen to Delta Goodrem's version and then compare it to this ensemble version, you can tell it was meant as a solo or duet, perhaps even a trio but not more than that. kelly clackson undoubtedly has the strongest voice amongst the idol winners. in terms of success, she had released most number of singles and sold more singles than carrie underwood, but carrie sold more albums, and carrie bagged more awards including (if i'm not mistaken) 5 or 6 Grammy, 6 AMAs, 15 Billboard Music Awards, and numerous awards from ACM, CMA, and such) Kelly as far as i know earned about 2 grammy, 4or5 AMA and somewhere between 10-13 billboard music award.

ive never heard or even recognize ANY ofthese people apart from Kelly, she's pretty famous in the UK. it really shows when you put them all together just why she is so big is because everyone sounds pretty average next to her, although the blonde one to the left is good :)

Somebody clearly is mad at Mariah having been superseded and abandoned without sentiment in favor of a better and more likeable singer like Carrie Underwood. There is no need to go dissing her on all her videos. Kelly and Carrie are equally talented and have often been described as voices of a generation by many of their peers. Try listening to her do Paradise City if you don't like the twang. She's a country singer, duh!

@razmataz13drums Well, with carrie, she's an american country music singer who's done maybe a few pop songs. Country isn't popular all over the world. There might be a few countries that recognize it, but it just doesn't grasp people on a wider level as pop, rock, soul and/or r&b. Kelly is versatile and has done many different types of music under the pop/soul/r&b lables. So she has more support over seas than other AI winners have. Funny thing is, Kelly doesn't know it. lol

kelly clackson undoubtedly has the strongest voice amongst the idol winners. in terms of success, she had released most number of singles and sold more singles than carrie underwood, but carrie sold more albums, and carrie bagged more awards including (if i'm not mistaken) 5 or 6 Grammy, 6 AMAs, 15 Billboard Music Awards, and numerous awards from ACM, CMA, and such) Kelly as far as i know earned about 2 grammy, 4or5 AMA and somewhere between 10-13 billboard music award.

don't get me wrong... am a huge Carrie underwood fan... i mean, i'd even run to the theatre to watch Soul Surfer... have all her CDs available in my country, bought all magazines that has even the smallest photo of her... but without being bias, Kelly Clarkson have a really strong voice... but Carrie most definitely have the cleanest voice there is... that's whay i love her above all... she sing songs effortlessly... Kelly has that strong Pop Rock voice (remember Breakaway)..

Kelly clarkson sold 20million copies for 4albums, Carrie sold 16million with just 2... that's worldwide... and i think Play On recently reached double Platinum (that means 2million more from US alone)... ye aren't the only one who hear the billiance in Carrie's voice... she's like a cloud of heaven...

i prefer carrie too. am huge huge fan.. i can never compare carrie's and kelly's voice.. i just said Kelly has the strongest voice, coz it's true, her voice is just too powerful, that's why she's the most successful pop artist from idol.. carrie, on the other hand, very clean, very clear, soft and vibrant.. you can hear every word in every song she sings, you don't just hear it, you feel it, that's why i love listening to her most. forget all the idol winners, Carrie is my idol.

@cacay21 Forget you, Kelly made the show, Carrie wouldn't be anyone without Kelly, and Kelly is in it for the music! Im a huge fan of Carrie but Kelly is what Music is all about. You wouldn't see Carrie singing background vocals for her friends do you? Kelly has more than once done background vocals live and recorded for her friends who are aspiring artists.
