it looks prettty dead in there. People need to give them more business so they can replace their elevator's fan motor. Often, it's merely a matter of cleaning neglect. The fans suck in dirty air & dust from the pit. Dust cakes on the motor and fan blades & clogs the fan space causing the fans to make that loud noise too.
I've heard louder

@stevethemeave45 Yep. It's inside Building B, toward the back of the complex.

I think the fan on the westinghouse in Northway mall was louder, and more annoying.

It's actually slightly deafening.

I'm wondering if they used another OTIS key for the fan switch, which is possible.

@jimster586 I got it to fit in and turn, although not easily. It still didn't work.

WOW! Now that is one very annoying and very loud fan!

Might be a dying motor.

@georgef551 Then it's been dying for a while. It's been like this since my first videos in mid 2008.

Looks suspicious to me especially since the key switch "happens" to not be working.

@SJSharkWannabe What do you mean by "suspicious"?
TheElevatorChannel 1 year ago
@TheElevatorChannel It just seemed funny that the elevator with the loudest fan in elevator history happens to have a broken fan keyswitch.

That fan was loud enough for me to say "that fan's annoying!"
