@Ryan39888 Hi Ryan, actually I did some research and Ryan Miller's grandfather is Canadian (from Saskatchewan) and first went down to Michigan to play college hockey and then ended up staying in the States. He is apparently the family member who got Ryan involved in hockey as a young boy and they still have many family in Canada. Always interesting to see the links back to Canada from some great players in the States. ;)
And to the people making dumb comment's just chill, Canada & the US are both great places i go to north dakota every year to shop, and i like it it looks just like canada except cleaner...mainly from all the mexican's..BUT that's not the point there both great places.

I apologize to any Americans that I might have offended by my previous remark to Neodark but it is highly insulting and offensive for someone to start attacking when they clearly don't even know the facts. Perhaps you don't know your history but Canada was Great Britain's biggest ally in World War II while the Americans sat by and refused to fight Hitler right until after they were attacked at Pearl Harbor, well over 2 years after the war had begun. Canada on the other hand was fighting that war with the Allies from the beginning and at great personal cost. Don't talk about what you don't know!

@neodark414 actually canada spends $22 billion per year on its military and this is increasing substantially with the purchse of 65 f-35 stealth fighters with maintenance and parts for $16 billion. we have a military - it does an excellent job and is sized so we don't fail economically - our debt to gdp is 52% for all government debt (federal, provincial, municipal) - the us is 101% for federal debt alone.

As a Canadian living in the USA ive heard nothing but insults and slanders directed at me, my nation and my family because i am canadian. When Canada lost thier first game the abuse only grew worse i knew that if Canada did not win a second time i would (in all seriousness) commit suicide. After Canada won gold my spirit was relieved and rejuvinated and i learned right there that everything the americans said about my nation was wrong and now i am proud to be Canadian. Eh!
