lmao you need a guide to catch carp... go to Lake Ontario, they are everywhere and it takes zero skill to catch them, just 50lb line and a heavy duty reel.
@Freshwaterphil Yeah, but still.... it's carp, nothing difficult to catch... They are totally fun to catch but its not hard to find them or catch them, most North American bodies of water have carp in them.
I don't have any trouble catching them, but when people are visiting from another continent and have limited time to fish, they want to go to productive spots where the fish are guaranteed.
@Freshwaterphil lol good one, I fish on Lake Ontario and Cross Lake Ny for carp, last time I went I caught 5 carp smallest 38'' and largest 48''. I'm considering using chain as fishing line, and a rail road spike as a hook since my hooks been bent straight out two times last year...
with all due respect, claiming it's so easy shows ur rather new to the sport..catching large carp consistently is Very challenging. Glad you've had so much success without much effort.
Who says I haven't put in any effort? I've been perfecting my carping methods and techniques for about 6 years now, that spot is one of my best ones too.

Gotta fish with a large spool and loose drag. Otherwise your hook will either straighten out, or pull out of their mouths.
Freshwaterphil 10 months ago
@Freshwaterphil I enjoy a big fight, I tighten the drag all the way up lol

@RyGuy1303
50 LB Power Pro (12 lb diameter). It's super strong, casts well, and very resistant to St Lawrence River rocks covered in zebra mussels.
