Defense does not matter for Brady or Manning. They play on offense. There are things I like about Brady and things I like about Manning. I gurantee that both these players can make the same throws. Winning a Superbowl is a team effort not an individuals, and if having more rings did make one player better than another, that would mean people like Bart Starr or Troy Aikman were better than Marion, which most people would disagree with. Win or lose, this was the best matchup for the colts. I think the jets can win, but it still is the best matchup for the colts. I think they would rather face the jets than san diego or pittsburgh who might have advanced this far instead. Defense does not matter for Brady or Manning. They play on offense. There are things I like about Brady and things I like about Manning. I gurantee that both these players can make the same throws. Yeah that is true, the media backlash would be tremendous if they lost. Still, again, the colts got the matchup they wanted. I think the colts struggle against high scoring offenses rather than strong defenses. The reason? the colts offense is a methodical offense, not big play. Peyton can do big play but i'm not sure garcon and collie are deep strike players...in fact...who do they have that is a big target or a speed burner? They dont have a s.rice or d.jax. So they prefer a patient slow game.

The ring argument is really irrelevant when discussing individuals. Winning a Superbowl is a team effort not an individuals, and if having more rings did make one player better than another, that would mean people like Bart Starr or Troy Aikman were better than Marion, which most people would disagree with. You have to look at stats for individuals, Manning clearly wins over Brady in almost every stat and therefore a more talented player.

Win or lose, this was the best matchup for the colts. I think the jets can win, but it still is the best matchup for the colts. I think they would rather face the jets than san diego or pittsburgh who might have advanced this far instead. Frankly. the jets are good but had a ton of breaks go their way v san diego...missed fg's, penalties, a pick that gets the jets offense right to the goal line...the onside kick...sd sticking with the run even when it wasn't working...goes on and on

Yeah....it sucked when they didn't try for 15-0 but....then again with the snow in Buffalo could they have gone 16-0? What I saw last Sunday was a very fast defense and a lot of rejuvenated starters, like Perry Garson who saved a Manning int from being a TD. Manning gets us to the playoffs but it seems like our defense gets us past the first playoff game i.e. 2006 wild card game again KC and Larry Johnson. Colts will pull it off on Sunday but....idk Saints and Vikings are scary.
