I can only watch this in small portions, because it just breaks my heart. I don't know how old some of you are, but when I was a young teenager, we use to run over to a friends house (a house full of us) to watch the Jackson's Variety Show. That's all we talked about all week long. That's where we got most of our dance steps from in the day besides Soul Train. I am so fortunate to have seen them many times live in concert & MJ by his self. What we have lost is to sad for words.

Yes that is absolutely right. They had to do this as part of the CBS contract. CBS was modeling them after the Osmonds. Many people are confused and think that Michael didn't enjoy doing the show. He did enjoy the show but he didn't think he was a good actor and didn't like his speaking parts.
M.J was a dancing Beast not 2 be F-uck with! It's all in the feet, he was a perfectionist from birth. Watching this show back in the day, I never notice 4:11 his brothers weren't in sync 2 do the robot walk, MJ shuffles his feet 2 wait on them 2 catch up, how did he knew when they were ready? Did he have eyes in the back of his head r did he just felt it, I luv watching that part. 5:16 watch the feet separation, then he falls right in line w/ his brother. The run away mic, I'm sure he burned it.

I like to think though that when the Jackson kids practiced and performed together they injoyed it. But I know Joe treated them like grown soldiers. I don't understand why Katie didn't try harder to make Joe back off and add some normal things to the kids life. Some kids have no hope of a childhood. Like those who grew up in concentration camps.some people can rise above it but some people can't.
I feel so bad for kids today, they try to entertain themselves with electronic.There's no real tallent in anything they do, we were allowed to watch 1 hour of tv in the afternoon usually just before bedtime. We had The Muppets, Shanana, He Haw, the Jacksons, Sonny and cheers and the osmands. That was about it. We spent the rest of our time playing outside. The Jacksons really missed out on something special and important.

I like to think though that when the Jackson kids practiced and performed together they injoyed it. But I know Joe treated them like grown soldiers. I don't understand why Katie didn't try harder to make Joe back off and add some normal things to the kids life. Some kids have no hope of a childhood. Like those who grew up in concentration camps.some people can rise above it but some people can't.

I feel so bad for kids today, they try to entertain themselves with electronic.There's no real tallent in anything they do, we were allowed to watch 1 hour of tv in the afternoon usually just before bedtime. We had The Muppets, Shanana, He Haw, the Jacksons, Sonny and cheers and the osmands. That was about it. We spent the rest of our time playing outside. The Jacksons really missed out on something special and important.

Seriously is there anything Michael couldn't do? He has more talent in one pinky nail than pretty much all of the popular artists put together today. I wish he would have done more tap dancing as he got older...it's amazing. And um the robot? Can't even explain in words.

What a talented family. Michael looks so angelic, sweet and beautiful when he sings 'I'll Be There.' I love when the audience is heavily encouraging him, 'go on Michael,' theres so much love in that audience for the Jacksons and they all delivered. I can't seem to stop watching this show its just some much awesome I can't handle it.

@brommaman40 They did help him.They hosted 4 interventions for him as a family but he himself was in denial...and the paps and media wasn't making his life any easier.I agree w/ everyone..MJ will live in forever...uh duh and if anyone does.t know that,ya just ain't a fan.lol.

@chuneeh08 I completely agree but it was becuz he grew up without a childhood and being abused..he was the only boy he took it he hardest from their father so his innocence and so forth was gone.That still didn't stop him form being a sweetheart or having the most wonderful heart.Plus he had a damn good body and an amazing voice.^_^ That family (sibling wise) had a ball of love for each other and they were all hilarious...love ya always baby boy and we'll miss you!

jermaine wasnt there because this is after everyone left motown and sighned to cbs. jermaine stayed with motown thats why he isnt there thats why like when michael thanked his family at awards and stuff he always said including jermaine i guess because i think people thought the family didnt like him or something because they moved on and jermaine wanted to stay behind but thats y jermaine isnt there because he didnt sign over to cbs
