  • Gorgeous flowers! Some of, if not THE, most beautiful flowers I've seen!

  • @theElegantCriminal

That was very sweet of you to say. Thank You.

  • how did you shrink them? you said with a heat gun? what is that?

  • @1loveOFmusic

Thanks for asking. A heat gun is a very useful crafting tool. These can be found at craft stores. There are different brands. I own two different ones. I use mine mainly for embossing. But it can be used with other craft projects like shrink plastic. When the right amount of heat comes in contact the fabric like what I used it started to shrink and curl. That's why no two were exactly the same. I hope this answers helps.

  • @mynuala

Hey I'm getting old...here...what do want from me (lol)

  • @mynuala

    I'm here to help.

  • @mynuala

Actually yes I am very concerned. My husband says I need to alternate sides when doing this rigorous Sizzix workout of cutting out shapes.

  • @mynuala

    Friday

  • @mynuala

I stood while using the machine after that I took the pieces and sat down to do the rest of the project. I hope this answer helps you.

  • @mynuala

Face up.... then the fabric then the cutting plate. I don't think it actually matters. I hope you give it a try. You will love making these.

  • @mynuala

Thanks for the question...I'm right handed so I held the machine top handle with my left hand and then I cranked the die through using my right hand. So although my arms were needed I actually used my right hand to do the cranking. I hope that answers your question.

  • which sizzix die? thanks!

  • @artoftranscription

I've added some of the tutorial links that I watched. Arlene shows in her video the Sizzix Circle #2 die and that is what I used. With the fabric she uses a heat gun would not be advisable to use like I used with my type of fabric. Other objects that can be used to make the circles if you do not have the die.

  • heat gun lol

  • @soxandshoes100

I know..it is kind of funny...Before I tried it with this medium weight fabric... I had used the candle flame method.

Which is best for the lighter fabric and ribbon. Thanks for the visit and leaving a comment.

  • what fabric did you use??

  • @krazykat3208

Thanks for the fabric question. In the description I mention I used polyester fabric. I can now see where that may be a bit vague. A medium weight ..used for bedding pillows draperies and the like. The actual sample fabric book is long gone...more than likely it was one Kravit 's sample fabric books used by a lot of interior designers. I hope this helps to answer your question.

  • what kind of sizzix machine was used?

  • @clpriore

I have a Big Shot and that is what I used. Thanks for the question. I hope my answer helps you.

  • Beautiful flowers! Where do you get the fabric books?

  • @devonay1

As an assistant designer the place I work for has a library of these fabric books from various companies and when they are discontinued or dropped I can have the ones I want.

See if your local designers or design center have any that that would like to get rid of.

I've also known that some take these books and make quilts for the homeless. A nice "green" project.

Thank You for the kind compliment.

  • Oh my... these flowers are so adorable. I love the extras you use...: Feathers, sequins, pearls, gold.. Thank you for sharing....

  • @mamablitger

These are so fun to make...and I got the extras at Joann's. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it.

  • Oh my gosh, these are wonderful. I love, love, love how they look with the gold beading, rhinestones and feathers.

  • @goodmonkey71

Thank You for you kind compliment......I'm still amazed when some one finds me here on you tube.

  • What do you use these for? Embellishment for garments, hats, photo frames? Do you have examples?

  • @dmgrosas

I have sent you a message I hope that it answers your questions. Thanks for visiting!

  • What beautiful things .... will you make anymore for sale? Love all the colors you came up with.

  • @MyAlita1

Thank You..I have made more..a Steampunk color way.... to go with Graphic 45 papers.

  • How much are they?

  • @KaelaKaotic

Thanks so much for taking the time to look at this video...The ones shown in the video are mostly gone now...I had them on my blog 3 months ago with the prices there. I was selling them all dressed up with trims and feathers for $2.00 each plus shipping. I was making some new ones just last night with my friend Deb. They are all one of a kind due to the limited amount of fabric that is in the "dropped" fabric books.
