how many of these potions must one drink, say, a week to get health benefits; with all that (good) stuff in it, it looks like, guzzled daily, these could chew big holes in your wallet or pocketbook.
a) DAIFUKU or MOCHI, you have the recipe? I'm sure you did it already. Is there any way to search among them? It's a sweet made of rice and red beans. I tried it today for the first time together with gree tea... and had no words. Delicious.
b) I think it's called Wakame Kyurisu, it's just sliced cucumbers with some sort of seaweed and this great sauce (is it vinegar + sugar?) And the cucumbers are just fresh or done in some way?). Thanks for your videos, I enjoy them a lot.
I've never made daifuku (just bought it). As for mochi - I've banged the hammer a few times at mochitsuki events, but I don't think that really counts as making it. I did a Sunday Kitchen show on mochi, just the bought stuff though. It's Show 172 Sunday 22 October. If you search for that, it comes straight up. I also have a Sunday Kitchen playlist.
Wakame Kyurisu - I just asked the Japanese expert sitting next to me and he says it's just fresh cucumbers, wakame and vinegar. But I would imagine there are different ways of doing it. And I wouldn't be surprised if some people put sugar in it because a lot of Japanese cooking seems to have sugar.
Thanks very much for your answers. And I found the video I was confused about and it's very similar to daifuku: it's called ohagi. About the vinegar for cucumbers, I guess it's rice vinegar. Thanks again!

I really like ginger, perfect with chicken and some soya! But look as if she had a little too much maybe.
